Product description

Ernie Ball Earthwood Silk and Steel 80/20 Bronze acoustic guitar strings are made with an 80/20 bronze alloy wrap and steel core with a layer of silk in between. The silk produces a more mellow sound and makes the string feel more comfortable while reducing finger noise. Like our standard 80/20 bronze sets, tone is bright, yet slightly mellowed, while tension is also slightly lessened. Available in Extra Soft (10-50), Soft (11-52), Regular (13-56), and 12-String Soft (9-46).

    So far, the Earthwood Silk and Steel are the only strings that made my Fender Telecoustic sound good. I'm a play at home once in a while kinda guy so the guitar never gets a really tough workout...but after a few months (as others have mentioned) the G string broke. Mine broke at the tuning peg after developing a bit of an annoying buzz. Still...the sound was so good that I was all set to order another set but discovered that the shipping cost of the .10-.50 strings was more than the price of the strings. I came up with a farmer fix of the G string and am likely to try another brand. Very disappointing.
