I recommend these to individuals who need to up their calorie intake as much as possible without eating tonnes of extra food, such as elderly individuals or individuals suffering chronic illness/decreased appetite. It's also great for a grab-n-go drink/supplement for able-bodied individuals if you're too busy to eat a proper meal. My husband loves supplements as he has little appetite in the morning and likes to sleep in, but has to be at work for 8:30AM.
I have these on subscribe and save for my mother, who is undergoing chemotherapy for advanced cancer. She has lost a lot of weight and has little appetite. At 225kcal and 12g of protein a bottle, this is a no-brainer, as my mum can drink one in between meals to up her daily calorie intake. Personally, for her needs, I have found the Ensure Plus Calories to be more effective, as they have 100kcal more than this flavour does (however, this does mean more sugar). However, she really likes the flavour of this: says it tastes like a strawberry milkshake---which is why I keep ordering!
My mum has commented that while these are pricey, they are the best tasting supplement she has tried (compared to other things like Carnation Breakfast Drinks, Boost, etc.) It's also faster and easier than adding protein powder to a smoothie, which requires prep and honestly, a sick person doesn't want to spend all that time prepping something they're not sure they're gonna finish. With these, she can literally grab and go.
My mum finds these easy to drink and they fill her up, too. I will continue purchasing these for her in the future.
