    I’ve been on the hunt for a modern, low-profile ceiling fan for our guest bedroom, and this 42-inch Ensenior model seemed to fit the bill perfectly. After getting it installed and using it intensely for a couple of days, I’m mostly pleased with its performance, though there are a couple of minor things to be aware of.
    Installation was surprisingly straightforward. The flush mount design is great for rooms with lower ceilings, and the instructions were clear enough to follow without any major headaches. The fan itself has a clean, minimalist look with the three black wood blades, which complements our contemporary decor nicely.
    Once up and running, the first thing I noticed was how quiet the DC motor is. Even on the higher of the six speeds, it’s little more than a whisper, which is a huge plus for a bedroom fan. It moves a decent amount of air for its size, making the room noticeably more comfortable. See audio spectrograms for very acceptable difference between 1 (slowest) and 6 (highest) speed. The reversible motor is a great feature for year-round use, allowing for downdraft in the summer and updraft in the winter.
    The integrated LED light is where I have some mixed feelings. On the one hand, the 3CCT feature is fantastic, allowing you to cycle through warm, neutral, and cool white light to match the time of day or your mood. The dimmable function is also a welcome touch. However, the light has a tendency to reset to the default color temperature every time you turn it off and on with the wall switch. While the remote can set it back to your preferred setting, it’s a minor annoyance.
    The remote control is full-featured, controlling the fan speed, light settings, and a timer. It’s convenient, but be prepared for a slight delay when you start the fan; it seems to take a moment to think before it begins to spin.
    Overall, this is a solid ceiling fan that delivers on its promises of quiet operation and modern style. While the light memory issue and the slow startup prevent me from giving it a perfect score, these are relatively minor quibbles in an otherwise excellent package. For the price, it’s a great value, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish and functional ceiling fan for a smaller to medium-sized room.
    Perceived Issues:
    * The 3CCT light does not always remember the last setting when turned off and on from the wall switch, often defaulting to a different color temperature.
    * There is a noticeable delay from when the fan is turned on via the remote to when the blades actually start spinning.
