    It worked for spit up but it tastes bitter compared to breast milk or other formulas so baby started to refuse it after a couple days. We stuck with it for a few weeks but she wasn’t eating enough so we switched back to regular formula around 2 months.

    We had high hopes for Enfamil Gentlease, especially since it's marketed as being easier on digestion and designed for babies with gas or fussiness. Unfortunately, our experience was the opposite.

    What I Like:
    There’s not much I can say worked well for us personally, but the packaging is convenient. It’s the same 237ml bottle format as the regular Enfamil we usually use at home, which we’ve had great success with.

    What I Don’t Like:
    Our baby just didn’t take to this formula at all. Even when he was clearly hungry, he refused to drink it. The small amount he did have actually made his gas worse, which is the exact opposite of what this formula is supposed to help with.

    We also noticed that the consistency was different — it looked more watery compared to the regular Enfamil ready-to-feed. That could have contributed to why he didn’t like it or found it harder to digest.

    Helpful Tips:
    1. If your baby doesn’t take to this formula right away, don’t force it. Some babies like mine just respond better to the regular version.
    2. Watch closely for increased gassiness or discomfort after switching — this formula doesn’t work for every baby. I'm not sure why but for us, it caused more gas issues rather than less.
    3. Try smaller bottles or samples first before committing to a full case, especially if switching from another formula that was working. Our family doctor mentioned that he had some samples he could have given us.
    4. Store opened bottles in the fridge and follow the brand’s guidelines on how long it can be used after opening.

    Final Thoughts:
    While this may work well for some babies, it definitely didn’t work for ours. The regular Enfamil formula has been much better for us in terms of both digestion and acceptance. Gentlease caused more gas, seemed thinner in texture, and our baby simply refused it.
