The author introduces herself as a nurse, which sounds impressive, but then it is not clear when reading the rest of the book where her ideas are being drawn from her personal experience versus general knowledge.
The book focuses very much on the woman as an individual, but gives little attention to how relationships with spouse, children, friends, etc. evolve with this stage of life. There are a couple of places where workplace relations and sexual relations are addressed, but these are brief and don't delve deeply into the actual relationship, focusing more on pragmatic aspects rather than understanding and supporting interpersonal dynamics. Instead of the relational aspects, which will be important for many women, there is an emphasis in a number of places that promotes spiritual practices that may concern some readers, such as yoga. Exercise suggestions strictly for exercise would be appreciated instead.
Additionally, there were a couple of places where an APA reference would naturally be provided, but it only says "SOURCE 1" in both cases, leaving the reader to feel that the final manuscript needed another round of proofreading before publishing.
