This machine is whisper-quiet, in fact it makes no noise at all! The difficulty levels seem a little bit strange. Out of all the levels there doesn't appear to be much difference in the resistance, at least up to my current level 5. Perhaps this will increase more noticeably when I reach the top but so far it seems to be just free-wheeling at the first 5 levels. It moves nicely and does get the blood flowing in my legs and feet, which is the reason I bought it in the first place. There are straps with d-ring handles, that can attach to the base if you decide to stand and do your workout. Overall I'm very satisfied with this purchase and it was reasonably priced after the coupon discount brought the price down to around the ~$ 130. CA mark. I'd recommend this product at this price.
