Despite having more cons than pros I highly recommend this ring light if you need one.

Pros:

- great build quality
- massive ring light so creates less harsh shadows (light source appears big to the subject)
- obviously stream deck control is amazing

Cons:

- the mount where you mount the camera is too high so it's hard to use in a pc gaming stream. I ended up not even using the camera mount because of this.
- the included desk clamp mount could either not go low enough, or not quite high enough.
- the power plug is massive and only two prongs without the ground. This makes it easy to unplug accidentally and hard to put the powerbar it's plugged into in tight spaces.

The post handle came broken right out of the sealed box, and the spring MIA. There is a post that connects to the screw/bolt, a plastic end that had teeth the handle slides onto, a spring that keeps the handle engaged with the post teeth, and a cap to compress the spring and keep it all together. The post snapped right off just after the teeth. Awesome. Thankfully I bought two heavy bases for the key lights I bought and can use the one good clamp (one of them fell apart in the box) for the ring light. The handle is also thinner and feels cheap compared to the elgato multi mount's handle I bought for the camera. The light isn't bad, but the rest of the box is meh... and the wall wart is HUGE!

BUT... I have a problem with it, and after some search about it, it appears to be a common issue...
OK, to control the ring, you need an app on your laptop/pc, and the ring will connect to the app via WiFi, not cable, just WiFi. This is a problem for me because it keeps disconnecting and even if it's visible (connected to the app), after a while I cannot use it. Then I have to turn it OFF, wait and turn it back ON.
I wish they kept both options, WiFi, and USB like all good people.

Grabbed this whilst it was at a bargain price. I've already brought into the Elgato universe and have a couple of key lights and mobile lights, along with its Facecam Pro, mic etc.... The lighting really does make so much of a difference. But I was shocked at the size of the box when it arrived! The ring is huge, with plenty of space for a DSLR if required inside this thing and it comes complete with a Short Mount and all the bits you need to set it up with. Soon had it up and working and it works a treat, added easily to my control center to control the lights and and also on the stream deck. It certainly is bright and adds a good light which makes the cam look a lot more professional. And it just has a lot more quality than a lot of brands, but at the knockdown price of £119, I wasn't going to miss out and am glad I made the purchase. It's just bigger than I expected which doesn't make it quite so portable, but I doubt that I'll want to move it around that much, be aware, just in case you are looking for something compact and bijou, if you are, this isn't the light for you! But it's good quality and build, looks like it'll last, and works well so far, I'm happy with this and happy to recommend it if you are in need of a large ring light to basque you in a golden glow..... and grab it on amazon whilst its reduced!
