These roasters do a really good job, they roast evenly and can roast all the way up to a dark roast, you can roast it just the way you like it. I've used many kinds of coffee roasters over the years and this style does the best job for an even roast. the air popper style tends to be too smokey and offers an uneven roast. This style of roaster roasts a lot more too, i can roast up to 1L of coffee with this, those air popper style roasters only do 1 cup (250ml), which means you roast 2+ times a week and use 2-3x the power too, This you would to do I L at a time. My only complaint about these roasters is durability, i use mine weekly and i have found that these last between 2-3 years, at this price its still pays for itself, so i don't mind too much replacing it, Those air popper style roasters cost roughly $400 too, so this is a good value. These can also roast nuts and seeds, but if you are roasting coffee, you may want to avoid roasting anything else with it as the coffee will take on the flavors of the seeds or nuts you roast, and roasting seeds after roasting coffee will make your seeds taste gross of course.

The coffee bean roaster works very well for coffee or for nuts.
This roaster is efficient and easy to use.
There are many uses for this machine, and my favourite is for nuts and melon seeds.
The roaster has a good capacity and moves the nuts/beans/seeds around while it gently roasts them.
This is not super fast, but you also don't run the same risk of burning them as you would on a stove top or in the oven.
Overall, a great addition to the kitchen machine set.
