Eleanor (Omegas Through Time Book 2) Kindle Edition
鶹
London, 1872
Eleanor Thompson is a beta governess who spends the majority of her time chasing after the Earl of Blymouth’s rambunctious children, with no plans to ever marry despite her cousin’s pushing.
But everything changes one night when she suddenly perfumes as an omega. After being chased by her employer through a greenhouse, she is transported through time, landing mid-heat into the lap of a handsome cowboy.
Colorado, 2022
After the death of their parents, the Calloway brothers have been working to restore their ranch, Arcadia, back to its former glory and while also struggling to raise a three year old. Unfortunately, they all have very different ideas of what that should look like.
Clint wants to keep it as a horse breeding ranch, Fletcher wants to raise miniature ponies as service animals, Cas believes that a dude ranch would make the most profit, and Beau just wants everyone to get along.
But when a very pretty omega appears out of thin air they're at a loss of what to do. Eleanor is prickly, proper, and positively everything that the Pack Calloway could ever want in an omega… but she insists she doesn’t want to get married, let alone be bonded to four men who are constantly arguing.
Eleanor's reluctance isn’t the only roadblock to their happily ever after. Someone has been poisoning Arcadia’s animals and sabotaging their equipment. It won’t be long until the consequences grow dire and everyone’s life is at risk.
Eleanor is an FMMMM time travel why choose romance that is set in contemporary Colorado. Does not feature MM situations.- LanguageEnglish

- Reviewed in Canada on February 4, 2024Verified PurchaseI have fallen in love with this series, and Calliope Stewart does an amazing job with world building and making you fall in love with the main characters.
I love this overall story arc and can not wait until the next one.
Highly recommend if you love time travel romances and omegaverse.
- Reviewed in Canada on February 11, 2024Verified PurchaseReally enjoyed the latest omegas through time. Calliope does a great job of creating characters and I loved how different Eleanors and the guys times and worlds were. A creative story I loved.
- Reviewed in Canada on February 4, 2024This is the second book in the Omegas Through Time series. It’s about Omegas who are plucked from their time and thrust into the future.
This book follows Eleanor, an omega from 1872 who suddenly finds herself in 2022. Not only is she dealing with being dumped into a time that is completely different from her own she’s also dealing with suddenly presenting as an omega and everything that entails.
She encounters a pack of Alpha brothers who teach her that this new world she finds herself in might just be better than the one she left behind.
This book has 1872 propriety fighting with 2022 reality, a pack learning how to function as a pack and secrets that seem bigger to everyone than a time travelling omega but aren’t even the biggest problem being faced.
I really enjoyed the book. It was a comfort read that I looked forward to picking back up at the end of my work day. The relationships were sweet and tension filled, the story engaging and the ending just right.
A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.
- Reviewed in Canada on February 4, 2024Oh how I love this book. I was lucky enough to get to alpha read this one and couldn't wait to get more every time Calliope had more chapters for us to read!
This is the second installment of the Omegas Through Time series and it follows late blooming omega Eleanor, a 19th century governess, thrown into modern day Colorado into the arms of a rancher and his pack.
It is hilarious to watch Eleanor adapt to modern times and she's an absolute hoot. I adored the pack, Clint made me laugh so much, Cas is such a smooth talker, but my favourites are sweet sweet Beau and surprising Fletcher. Espie, Cas' niece is also a hilarious little side character.

5.0 out of 5 stars Time traveling omegas
Verified PurchaseWhile a bit of a slow burn, this was an amazing story. i loved the characters, and honestly, they were pretty accepting of an omega falling from the sky. Eleanor went from prim and proper to so very loved. She finally found her place. Definitely check this one out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Still good, but not my favorite
Verified PurchaseSo, Calliope Stewart is one of my favorite Omegaverse authors, and of course, when I can get a chance to read one of her books, I take it. This is the second book in the Omegas Through Time series.
I have read Juneau before too, and I loved it. Each of the separate elements are not really new. Like time traveling, Omegaverse in general or contemporary love stories. But in combination, it hit a spot. And then take great characters with special traits, hang-ups and pasts and watch them build relationships together, despite the differences… I was all in.
So, I was excited to read the next story. Though, firstly, I have to say, while the story is still great and amazing, I wasn't as caught up in this story than I was with Juneau's.
That can be, because of the FMCs are vastly different here. Juneau was far more open to the future, I would say. And yeah, she was reticent to give in to the guys, because she wanted to go back to her time, either. But the difference was, that I could get behind her reasoning. She had a loving family back there, and she didn't want them to think she was missing and leave them behind heartbroken.
But Eleanor, while I loved her personality and the way she was with the kids in the story, was reticent on principle as it seems. She had nothing in the past holding her back. Her close family was already dead. She wasn't that close to her cousin Barnaby. Only the kids she was in charge of and had to educate were in the past. Sure, of course, I wanted them to be happy and all. But Eleanor can't truly change their lives, because of her standing. She already did what she could. But can't protect them from their father.
Otherwise, she had a lonely life with no prospects on love or own children. And not to forget, as a woman, her freedom was very limited too.
As we know, it would have been not a good life for her, if she had stayed. Okay, yes, she could have had children of her own, considering she transitioned into an omega. But Lord Blymouth would have bound her against her will and she would have a terrible husband. And still would not be able to protect the children.
I know, it is easy to say for me. Because I'm born in the future and have a different mindset. And yeah, I wouldn't be happy either, if someone took me from my time and put me somewhere else. But if I was told, that I never belonged there in the first place, and knowing that the world I'm thrown in is in fact far more prosperous for me than my old life? On top of that, a real shot on a happy family and people, who actually care about me?
Sure, I would need time to adjust, but I wouldn't want to go back. So, I was annoyed by her attitude to want to go back and the way she didn't try to get into the modern world. It didn't even make much sense, because her inner musing showed that she appreciated a lot of that. She may not admit it out loud, but she enjoyed having freedom and not to watch her every step. To have a choice.
And the guys were not really special either. I mean, sure, they had different personalities and were fun to read about. They were still complex, but they didn't stand out to me. Not like it was with Juneau's guys. I mean, Bat with his pigeons. Or Storm with his storms. They had personalities that were not the usual thing I read about and set them apart from the run-of-the-mill guy.
Clint, Fletcher, Beau, and Cas were far too normal. Apart from the time traveling Omega, some magic, and Omegaverse in general, it was like every other normal contemporary cowboy/countryside love story. Some drama, mystery and everyday life, but not really special.
I was a bit disappointed by that. But it was still wonderfully written with a great depth, and there were my usual favorite Omegaverse parts, and I would say the interactions with the animals were just hilarious. Like the mini ponies. Or Espie.
It was good, but I didn't read it in one go like usual. Took me three full days to get through it, because I just wasn't in it.
Then the bonding was partly done on-page and partly off-page. Which I didn't really like either. It had time jumps in it too, but they were mostly greatly done. Meaning, the important moments were on-page and the relationship building was shown, so that I could get a connection with the characters.
But the time jump directly into the heat and the bonding already over wasn't so great.
What I absolutely liked, was that same like Juneau, we get some closure of the past. So, to see what happened with Josette after her disappearance and that she had some part in her becoming the person she was in the end, was a highlight. Though, I would have loved to know how her disappearance was explained in the first place. And a bit more about Malcom too. But ok.
I get why Calliope didn't send Eleanor back to her time for a dramatic moment, like it happened with Juneau. Would have been too repetitive, too. Still, I would have loved to see a moment between Eleanor and Josie. That they could have had some sort of goodbye. Anyway, the epilogue was rather short. And I didn't like, that it was simply another smutty group scenes.
I mostly like epilogues, who give some insight of the future they have together. Children, how her life is like now. Espie and the new situation.
Overall, I enjoyed it. Of course, it didn't change a thing that Calliope Stewart is one of my favorite authors and that the story is still amazing. It just wasn't my favorite.

4.0 out of 5 stars Omegaverse
Verified PurchaseI loved all of Calliope’s omegaverse books, and found this series extra fun with the time travel aspect.
In Juneau I liked that she felt like she was not in her right time period. But this book it’s more that here mates are in another and that fitting in her old time period is not a problem which posed a different dynamic in the new world.
I love that there almost also always a mystery aspect to Calliope’s books. I can’t put my finger on why it’s not 5 stars but it’s absolutely a great book and I will read it again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eleanor
Verified Purchase**I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book** I loved book two in the Omegas Through Time Series by Calliope Stewart!! I absolutely love reading historical romances so having Eleanor start in 1872 as a young British Beta Governess, was a lot of fun for me to read. She was set in the way her life was leading, taking care of Lord Blymouth's two children, and just living her life. When her Omega designation came in, she was running from her Alpha employer and goes through the greenhouse door and right into 2022 Colorado. Since this was Merlin's second time traveling Omega, he was able to do a mind dump of all of Juneau's experiences (first book) to Eleanor. I again loved the element of magic that was part of this book although I usually don't like PNR, it wasn't the main focus. Eleanor helps to heal the men on the Arcadia ranch; Clint, Fletcher, and Beau Calloway and Cas Cruz to bring them together to be a pack She forms a connection pretty quickly with Beau and Espie, the guy's three year old niece and slowly pulls in the other men. As the Autumnal Equinox approaches, the Alphas and Eleanor explore their connections and fall in love. Will Eleanor stay or will she go back and try to live her life knowing what the future is like? The HEA is very sweet.
