The Difference Between Tennis Elbow & Golfer’s Elbow

Medial Epicondyle (Golfer’s Elbow) affects the inner forearm, while Lateral Epicondyle (Tennis Elbow) affects the outer forearm. This pain is from repeated bending and twisting of the wrist, which can become quite painful. Applying pressure to the inflamed tendon will distribute the stress across the muscle, reducing pain while increasing blood flow and nutrients to the area!

How to Wear the Elbow Straps:

  • Open the brace. Slide the brace onto the arm until the tendon compression pad is approximately 1" (2 cm) below the elbow joint.
  • Position the Elbow Brace with its tendon compression pad facing outwards (if it’s Tennis Elbow) or facing inwards (if it’s Golfer’s Elbow)
  • Secure it with the Velcro tab but do not overly tighten
  • Readjust if needed

    So this product definitely helps to reduce the pain in the elbow by essentially cutting off the muscle that’s torn only using the muscles in front of it. I showed my physio doc and he liked it. He suggested a harder stiffer plastic or such to press against the skin but this is hard enough.
    Only issue is you gotta crank the living hell out of it to work if you’re in a lot of pain and it cuts off circulation to your arm. That’s why I suggest this product for moderate to mild pain relief and on the road to recovery. But this product definitely works to be able to use your arm almost as if you didn’t have tennis elbow at all. What I mean by the above is you will not be able to use this and use your arm like you did before injury. This product is useful in that it will allow you to resume life without discomfort in completing medial tasks like soft lifting as opposed to not being able to use your arm at all. Highly suggest for the cost and it also comes with two of them which is cool. Buy this!!!

    If you look around - you'll see tennis elbow braces that cost (not for two - just for one) $45, even $100, and I'm sure they work great.

    What's even better with this pair of braces, is that they work great too, but only cost $10 for one (the you're getting two braces here for $20)!!!

    If you play guitar, then you probably know what a "Capo" is, and if you don't - you put a capo around the neck of your guitar, and it has a metal rod covered with a soft pad usually made of PVC, which, when you tighten the capo around the guitar neck, allows you to effectively make the whole six or twelve strings (etc for bass - same concept) shorter, thus raising the pitch.

    This is what an elbow brace does - they all work on the same principle, only the purpose here is to isolate and reduce the load and vibrations from the hurting part of the muscle and tendon, as opposed to shorten strings on a guitar.

    This brace works as advertised and as it is supposed to - assuming you understand what to expect from it and use it correctly, but costs a fraction of what many other braces out there cost.

    You should also realize that if your elbow tendon and muscles hurt so much that a brace like this couldn't make it better over a few of days - there's a good chance that either you don't have Tennis Rlbow or Golfer's Elbow but maybe something else, or that your muscles or tendon inflammation are so bad, that you should probably see a doctor, as a brace like this may not be the solution to what you might have.

    Bottom line - I highly recommend this brace.
