Des Weiteren wird ein Ausblick über die verschiedenen Bereiche der Astrofotografie gegeben. Am Beispiel der Deep-Sky- Fotografie wird dann detailliert ein Überblick über die benötigte Grundausstattung, die Aufnahmetechniken, sowie die einzelnen Schritte der Bildbearbeitung gegeben.
Am Ende des Buches befinden sich zahlreiche Aufnahmen mit den zugehörigen Aufnahmedaten zur Orientierung für die später gemachten eigenen Aufnahmen. Zu finden sind einige der schönsten Objekte des Himmels der Nordhalbkugel.

    etwas wenig Inhalt. Im großen und ganzen ein gutes Buch, nur hätte der Autor in einige Themen tiefer einsteigen können. Die Tips waren für mich als Wiedereinsteiger nach 30 Jahren nur bedingt wertvoll. Für jemand der mit diesem Hobby beginnt ist es allerdings ein wertvolles Buch , weil der Autor realistisch an das Thema herangeht und den Anfänger auf den Boden der Tatsachen zurückholt. Die gezeigten Aufnahmen sind im Kindle nur schlecht zu sehen, auf meinem Smartphone hingegen zeigen sie ihre ganze Pracht. Sehr gut ist auch der photographische Vergleich des Himmels über Deutschland und dem über Teneriffa. Wer allerdings im Detail wissen will wie Astrophotographie funktioniert wird hier weniger fündig.
