My girls want to play this daily!
My 4 year old loves this game. The instructions are so easy for young ones to grasp. My 2 year old also always wants to play but she likes to play her own way haha. I would say 3+ is perfect! Basically you spin the wheel and land on a colour, skip a turn, bandit (take an acorn from another player) or wind (blows all your acorns off your log and back in the tree). It teaches colours, turn taking and dexterity as you use the squirrel to grab the acorns. Oh and a round goes by fast too so no losing patience! Super cute game!

This game is better with more players. It is a fun little game that gives good lessons and a bit of strategy. I never "let him win" and at this age, he doesn't get bothered by winning or losing. That may change in time.
It's great for fine motor and colour matching, turn taking and sportsmanship. I definitely recommend if you don't have a copy already for ages 3-8.

The premise is that you spin the spinner to choose a colour of Acorn to grab using the squirrel tongs/grabber thing. The spinner also has Sad Squirrel (miss a turn), Sneaky Squirrel (steal an Acorn from someone), Wind (lose all of your acorns back to the tree, or choose 1/2 acorns. First player to get 5 acorns, 1 of each colour, is the winner!

    Well made and durable.

This game is super fun for young children. I've played it before with a child entering JK (age 4) and again with another JK & SK duo (ages 4 & 5). Rules are easy to understand, easy to explain and the kids get a kick out of using the squirrel thongs to pick up the acorns. Good for younger children to practice colours, reinforce rule following and turn taking and even how to win and lose gracefully. No real strategy to this game so the winner is always random! Also is very sturdy and looks nice as a gift.

My three year old loves this game! It’s easy enough for him to understand the rules and explain them to others, but interesting enough that we have fun playing with him too. Great for learning the concept of taking turns, being a good winner, accepting losing and it helps a little with strategy and learning colors etc. the only reason it has 4 stars instead of 5 is that the spinner doesn’t spin. I tried loosening it and that didn’t work so I put oil on it which isn’t the best idea for a cardboard spinner, but it was the only way to get it to spin. So even with the oil it’s still difficult for children to spin it properly. But otherwise, adorable well made game!

3 years old and 5 years old boys love it very much. I personally like the game set, the whole board game is so cute and it train their motor skills and patience. Why patient? The reason being, little hands of children have difficulties to grasp the nut with the squirrel handle. So this really train their motor skills.

This game was one of my daughters most coveted this Christmas after watching the YouTube demonstration it was all she would talk about for her Christmas list and she hasn't been disappointed.

This game is fun, colourful and creative but also excellent for young children to develop game skills of taking turns, spinning the wheel and strategy alongside counting, colours and fine motor skills in using the squirrel shaped tongs to select the coloured acorns.
My daughter is small for her age and has struggled with the tongs but this is also good for encouraging resilience alongside hand strength and by continuing to try she is more confident and we have had to expand her game selection!

For grown ups this game is excellent for reducing chaos of lost bits in that it is self contained and self storing, the box is the game 'board' and everything goes back in it without having to align bits of plastic with inner packaging everytime, just scoop and shut the lid, job done.

Overall, I'm a fan of Learning Resources products despite their higher price you get quality pieces, this was worth the investment for us and is an excellent choice for the preschooler/reception aged child but wil still get value for older primary aged children as its competitive with the forfeit spins and fun overall.
