Edifier does it again! I initially bought em for upgrades but it appears I don't need to. They look great, sound great and I really like the revised port tube compared to the round ones found in the D12 and R1280DBs. Much less chuffing when pushed hard. Definitely not made for heavy bass because 4" woofer, even fed em much higher power than 20 watts and they handled it very well. But if set up right in a small to midsized room, you can get away from using a small powered subwoofer. Once broken in they should sound much better at their claimed 50 hz tuning frequency. These things are beefy and built very well, a great addition to my Edifier collection so far.
