It seems to be good. I've had it going for a few days and my peak has been 2.48 and average 1.89 so it's below the 4.00 which is good. I placed mine 6-7 feet away from my sump. I think I could get my number down by doing some caulking at the sump at the lid as well as the sump pump cord. I have no cracks in my basement flooring and used a rubber sealant ment for concrete in basements prior to my development. As far as need mitigation I don't need it and I feel with proper sealing I can get the number current down without having to vent out of the lid and outside. I suggest doing that first over paying $1500-$3000 to get someone to properly install a mitigation system. Unfortunately with ours it would be difficult to do as the sump is under our stairwell and there's not much room. I'm definitely happy with these numbers I'm getting so far. Update: It's been 7days and it seems to be good so far. One thing I do wish it had was a time stamp especially for when it peaks. It just would be nice to know.

    I bought it because a friend discovered radon in his new build. I never thought to check before and was surprised and dismayed to see 178bq/m^3. It is just below Health Canada recommendations but still a concern. I rather quickly found that covering the basement floor drain dropped the number significantly. I now show around 30 bq/m^3. A neighbour 100 feet away borrowed it. He has 100 bq/m^3 in his house. Good thing to know about our neighbourhood.
    The phone app is the easiest app to install. The graph is great as it takes hours for my house to respond. I open a window or cover a drain and check the trend next day. I am leaving it running except when friends want to borrow it!

    This little device is so easy to use. I was always curious about the radon level in my home and had read a few articles on how it affects your health. Because it is colourless and odourless, the only way of knowing if you have it is to test. I had bought a test from the hardware store that required you to conduct the test over a week and then mail it away to get results. Do to a very busy day to day, the test never got done.
    One night I can across an ad for radon eye. It seemed easy enough to use with almost instant reading results. I decided to go for it and bought the unit through 鶹. I’m sure glad I did. After two hours of the unit being set up it showed extremely high readings of radon. It turns out, over time , my HRV had come out of balance. My house was in a negative pressure. This drew the radon right in to my home and exposed my family to it. I never would have known. We had the HRV rebalanced and made extra effort to seal our sump pit. The radon eye has since shown very low and consistent low readings. What an awesome product. I am so thankful I bought it. Easy set up. Easy to read results. Peace of mind. Thank you.

    Didn't know anything about radon until I read an article about the dangers of high radon. Since we use our basement a lot I decided to check it out and buy this detector. Set it up easily along with the easy to use app and tested it in different areas of the house, basement, main floor, etc. Come to find out we have high radon (like probably almost every house with a basement) and though it was very high in the basement it was high on the main floor as well.

    After testing for a week, I called a professional radon mitigation company to fix it and they noticed the radon detector and told me that they actually use the same tool! The tech was able to login to our detector since they use the same app and could verify the installation. They did a followup checkup without us needing to be home.

    The difference before and after the mitigation is significant and I leave the detector running 24/7 and check it periodically. Excellent detector and accurate! A must buy for every homeowner who has a basement. Even if you don't use the basement there's a good chance it's drifting upwards to your other floor(s).

    Personally I think every home should be built with radon mitigation as part of the build. This is a proven lung-cancer causing gas.

    Nach einem absoluten Fehlkauf (siehe Rezension zu einem anderen Radon-Messgerät hier auf 鶹) war dieses Gerät eine echte Wohltat: Es funktioniert einfach. Punkt.

    Was dieses Gerät richtig macht – eine Menge:

    Zuverlässige und schnelle Messung: Die Werte werden regelmäßig und zügig aktualisiert – nicht nur alle 6 Stunden wie bei manch anderem Modell, sondern nachvollziehbar, in sinnvollen Intervallen. Gerade bei Lüftung, geöffneter Tür oder Temperaturveränderungen reagiert das Gerät sofort. Genau so muss ein Radon-Monitor arbeiten.

    Langzeitmessung mit Bestätigung: Die Tages-, Wochen- und Monatswerte ergeben ein absolut stimmiges Bild. Auch bei mehreren Standortwechseln waren die Werte plausibel und nachvollziehbar.

    Bewegungserkennung integriert: Ein besonders praktisches Feature: Das Gerät erkennt eigenständig Standortwechsel oder Erschütterungen und startet dann eine neue Messung – genau wie es sein sollte, um saubere Ergebnisse zu garantieren.

    Bluetooth-Verbindung: Ja, es ist "nur" Bluetooth – aber erstaunlich stabil, sogar über eine Etage hinweg. Die App ist durchdacht, übersichtlich und liefert genau die Infos, die man braucht – ohne unnötigen Schnickschnack.

    This unit (RadonEye RD200) is very easy to setup, and gives you accurate results fast! Your first reading in 10 minutes and a very accurate reading after your first hour and every hour! It actually measures 30 times an hour and gives you detailed charts of all your readings in the app for your phone, and also displays the highest detected Radon level. I love that it shows the level of Radon on the unit itself too so if you are near it and just want to see what it says, it’s right there…no need for your phone or internet access, etc. You can see even more details on the app via Bluetooth so you can see your results on your phone without having to be right at the unit as well. Another huge benefit is that you can set it to alarm at any level, or not at all… (default is 4). I prefer to have it alert me if radon goes over 3. Most importantly it works accurately and fast! Other brands typical take 48 hours before your first reading and then don’t give you detailed results, but instead only give an average sample. They will still help, but this is much more detailed, fast and accurate all in one! The only thing I wish it had (with the detailed graph chart) was times of all the readings. It shows you all the levels, and the peak level and average level, but not what time they occurred. Other than that, I highly recommend this product!
