    Cette appareil via le site Ecowitt permet de recevoire des alertes de niveau de batterie à 80%, 60%, 40% et 20%, et branché en parallèle avec la station météo (qui elle donne seulement une alerte de low batterie) permet d'avoir un niveau de batterie plus précis pour l'ensemble de la station.

    I really wanted this detector to work properly and had high hopes. After several months and 3 location's on our city property it's averaging 25 to 30 false lighting strikes daily. We have tried changing the sensitivity with no results that are realistic. I even took a portable AM radio and listened for noise/interference in the lower portion of the band but it proved to not be any help.
    Maybe in rural property areas much better results ?
    The Ecowitt HP2553 system its connected to, Is absolutely fantastic though.

    I have found most ecowitt products decent quality and perform well. However, I am disappointed in this particular sensor. There are 4 sensitivity levels. As others report, you either get many, many false triggers, or failure to record legitimate events. Mine is mounted outside, high on a pole in a rural area.
    I would pass on this.

    I mounted this on the same metal post as my weather station, it was getting false readings every time the station sent in update. Moved it away and it’s better but I’m still getting several false readings, after reading other reviews it turns out it can’t be mounted on anything metal and has to be away from power lines and AC units. Seemed to pick up the one lightning strike we had a few weeks ago but still getting a few false signals.

    The device counts 79 lightning strikes every day, regardless of the weather. Wish I could return it but I tried to get it to work for too long and now return window is closed.

    It shows that I constantly have lightening in my area 24/7 no matter the sensitivity setting. It is located high up a pole about 5 feet below the weather station itself. It is not around any electrical interference... that I'm aware of anyway. Just can't figure out why my experience with this sensor is not the same as all the positive reviews. Also does not come with the solar shield shown in the picture (I purchased one separately).

    I must say, I’m surprised at just how well this lightning sensor works. I was lucky enough to have a major thunderstorm forecast in my area within 24 hours of setting it up, so I was able to see it working! See the photos of the display console and the graph from the app.

    I installed the lightning sensor with Energiser lithium batteries and the switches in default setting. Installation was easy. I already had an Ecowitt HP2564 weather station and display console (which discovered the new sensor immediately), so I attached the lightning sensor to the plastic mounting pole (see attached photo).

    During a thunderstorm the following day, I saw a lightning flash, followed some seconds later by thunder. About a minute later, the weather station recorded the strike at about 5 miles distant, which seemed right by my calculations. The most distant strike recorded was at 27 miles.

    I am very pleased with my purchase. It performs as well as I had hoped.
