It never worked correctly. It was mounted correctly and it powered up fine but never heated the water. Yes the air was bled out of the system before it was powered up. It always stays at ambient temperature without much of a rise more than a few degrees. I had purchased this for an rv shower for a trip, and unfortunately we had to take cold showers because of it not working.
