These were a really good pick up for me. We were worried about Trick-or-treaters going up and down our steps safely, and I got these to try and see if they were a viable solution, and it really did a great job.

To get these nifty LED pucks water ready, and to let power run through them to light up, you have to twist them closed until the LEDs turn on and they're all nice and tight. One of them, as shown in my pictures, wouldn't turn on at first no matter what I did, their CR2450 batteries worked fine when switched with another LED puck so it wasn't dead batteries. I then noticed the head piece, where the LEDs are attached, was very loose and would fall out of its casing easier than the others, so I used the attached spring to wiggle it in deeper, hoping that would solve the no power issue, and it fixed it. All 10 shone brightly and were ready for Halloween. Also, before I figured out how to fix the 10th light's issue, I tried submerging 9 of them in water in my sink which worked wonderfully with no failures, and I left them in water for about 20 minutes.

My father found these really nice pumpkin candy holders from Dollarama which worked great as little vessels for these LEDs and you can see the end result is a really nicely lit up stairway. The remote has quite a few effect settings and colours, we used the bottom left Yellow colour setting with Strobe which gave it a nice in-and-out slow candle flicker effect. They weren't all in-sync after a few strobes, probably due to cheap internal timers having minor delays in their timing, but that was actually good for us because it simulated a nice asymmetric flicker effect like they had actual fire-lit candles inside.

I would definitely recommend these for decorations, they light up really bright and have a nice amount of colours and effects. They're worth it in my opinion, and I think I'll grab a few more packs for some Christmas ideas I am currently brainstorming. Think of the possibilities!
