This phone holder is able to hold extremely well to any smooth and flat surface thanks to it's rotating, ratcheting dial around its base that will increase the suction the more you turn it. To remove it from the surface it's mounted on, you need to turn the base dial counterclockwise so that it releases the suction before pulling on the small tab on the side of the cup. The magnetic ring to which the phone will stick is very strong and I don't think there's any chance that the phone might fall during a car ride. The arm that attaches to the base and the ring allows for perfect positioning of the phone even on a windshield and the rotating part of the arm will also help to get the perfect viewing angle in most situation. A must have phone accessory! This is an easy 10/10.
