So happy to have gotten these. I paid around the same price price for 10 test strips at a local retail store and it has 2 more tests included for a total of 10, but for what I need this covers all and I get 100 strips. The value difference here is huge.

My main focus is testing for copper since I have high free copper when I had blood testing so it is important for me to constantly check. Something interesting was noticed. I know I do have copper in the water because there is colouring around the faucets as the house has old copper piping. It seems to be minor though as it doesn't show up in drinking water from the faucet without a filter.

So the interesting thing was that the water from the faucet was fine, but when I tested my water filter, I had trace copper! So I had been using the filter to avoid potential copper and it seems like it had been leeching copper in the filter and pushing it out. Very good to know this so I could switch to a new filter.

Really happy with this and I get to test constantly without having to buy expensive tests!

Easy to use. I tested 3 different water sources from town water, filtered water and a drilled well at a farm. All results just show some slight elevation of Magnesium and Calcium, and were virtually identical. I was sure the farm water had an iron content, but the test did not show that. That was all suspicious so I was about to return the item. Then I tested the water from a large can of fish from China. Wow. 50 ppb lead, which makes sense because China is still soldering their cans with lead solder. Still suspicious about the accuracy and the magnesium and calcium indicators, but this seems to be a useful kit for the price.

This is a good deal for a pack of 100 water test strips, and the test results seem reasonable for a basic color-based consumer grade kit. The results are highly reproducible between strips which is good.

I do wish the bottle came with a few extra printed color reference charts, as having to refer to the one on the bottle's label makes it impractical for sharing a few strips, etc. with others, since there's no way to check the result without the bottle.

We recently had a change in our local water supply, and I figured it was time to check what exactly was coming out of the tap. This test kit caught my eye—not because it’s flashy (it’s just strips in a bottle, after all), but because it promised quick results for eight different heavy metals. As someone who likes to know what’s in the water I drink and cook with, this felt like a small investment with a big upside.

My Rubric
✅ Good = Qualifies as a selling point
➖ So-So = Not great, but also nothing resembling a showstopper
❌ Not Good = Could be a showstopper

The Good
✅ Quick and simple to use – Dip for a couple seconds, wait 30, compare colors—no guesswork
✅ Covers 8 heavy metals – Lead, mercury, copper, iron, chromium, magnesium, cadmium, and calcium
✅ Results match what I already suspected (increased magnesium) – a good sign that they’re accurate
✅ Large supply (100 strips) – plenty to test various faucets or check periodically over time
✅ Great for well water, older plumbing, or changing city sources

The So-So
➖ Best for dissolved metals only – won’t detect rust flakes or other particulate metals
➖ The chart can be a little nuanced – not quite as crisp or high-contrast as I’d like

The Not-Good
❌ Honestly, nothing show-stopping here—just be aware that it’s not a lab-grade diagnostic tool and won’t catch undissolved metals

The Details
Out of curiosity (and perhaps a dash of suburban paranoia), I tested our kitchen tap after our town switched water sources. The process was simple: dip, wait, check against the chart on the back of the bottle. Sure enough, the strip reflected higher magnesium content, which aligns with the hard water buildup we’d been noticing lately. But everything else checked out, and that gave me peace of mind.

This kit would be especially useful for anyone on well water, or living in an older home with questionable plumbing. Even if your city’s water report looks clean, it never hurts to double-check what’s coming out of your actual faucet. You get 100 strips, which is generous—so much so that I shared a few with a friend who recently moved into an older house. It’s not the sort of kit you’ll use daily, but it’s the kind of tool you’ll be glad to have around when you need it.

These are best for a quick test to know off a baseline what you have in your water.
It seems accurate cause I do have a lot of magnesium and calcium in the water with no iron and high TDS which is sees that .
I did a control with bottle water and it shows baseline neutral so they work in that sense. As for lead and mercury will have to trust they work cause I didn't grind up a lead weight but I did heat hot water in a cup that could have lead and it didn't read it.

It works. We've tested on multiple locations and homes and it's really nice to be able to understand what you would be drinking if you didn't have filter water installed. What is even more important, you can test and see if the filter is even working this way your liver doesn't become a filter.

The chart that comes with it is easy to use once you start your test. Make sure you read the instructions multiple times on your first use so you know what you are doing during water testing. The instructions are clear and easy to read, just a lot for first time. We actually ended up buying a few for our family and friends as well after testing this one out.

Protect your health, don't rely on others, do your due diligence and this can save you from future health problems!

She was surprised and said her mom had been urging her to get the water in her new house tested. For one, old pipes can contaminate water.

My friend was tickled that the simple test showed slightly high in magnesium and calcium, which is not a bad thing. She said, “Good job, Lenoir City!”

Then when I got home, I tested my water (in South Knoxville), and all indicators showed to be exactly as the strip; no change in color at any of the 8 parameters. So, my water and the pipes it flows through are fine in my South Knoxville home.

The kit includes a generous amount of 100 strips. I will never need this many, so I gave some to my friend. The MERYDI group, the seller, might consider making a smaller box of approximately 25.

This is a great at-home test. We used to have to take water somewhere to have such a test, and the ability to test our water on our own now is a great tool. Anyone can use this excellent product, and I highly recommend it.
