    I threw it out. Considered returning it before opening, as it didn't look like tomato.
    Decided to give it a try, and does not taste like pure tomato that has been dehydrated/ground. I would call it more a seasoning similar to Italian spices and celery seed being mixed it to season on tomatos/in tomato dishes. Threw it out, and bought from a different brand. Much happier with the replacement from competitor

    So far I have tried this as a cup-a-soup tomato vegetable alternative, tried as a thick tomato sauce for pasta, and as added flavoring to some hamburger patties.
    In general there is a slight earthy taste, but that works for me. However as a soup or if used in a thin sauce, the powder really does not break down any further and can taste gritty. Used in a thick pasta this powder works a bit better, although again lacks the extra tart you may get either from fresh or even canned tomatoes. But if the sauce is thick, it seemed to work and the grittyness isn't particularly noticeable. I also tried with as an extra ingredient to some hamburger patties and surprisingly added an nice extra taste to the meat.
    The jar is quite large and will take some time to consume it all, but likely not something I would buy again, just stick with either fresh or canned.
    One big plus though is there is zero sodium or any other preservatives.

    Usually buy olive nation tomato powder which is at least 5 stars. This Wellness brand is -5 stars. I tried to figure out what it tastes like but could not. No matter how long you let it stand in water it still has this sand like mouthfeel.
    This was a lost $20. It went strait to the garbage can.
