It's absolutely disgusting seeing what these little disposable drain snakes can pull up.
It can be like picking out a full sized rat from a small drain, piece by piece.
However disgusting as that may be, these disposable snakes work great and being disposable, you don't really have to touch the gunk that comes out of the drain.
If it's been a while you may need to use a couple of these on the initial clean just to remove any build up over time, but with regular use you'll only need one each time. Effective at grabbing hair and pulling it out of the drain. Once all of the teeth are full, you can simply just toss the whole thing, mess and all and be done with it.
Very handy to have around and use regularly to prevent big clogs.
