DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Doktor Doom Go Green Premium Quality Pyrethrin Insecticide Powder for Home and Garden is made from an African flower (Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium). Effective against ants, cockroaches, silverfish, spiders, crickets, earwigs, sowbugs, boxelder bugs, bed bugs and fleas inside buildings and aphids, leafhoppers, leafrollers and thrips on outdoor ornamental plants. Within the specified use location, to enhance effectiveness of this product, apply directly to the listed pests where possible. Treatment must only be repeated after 7 days if pest problem persists or reoccurs. When applied indoors, good sanitary practices should be maintained to prevent re-infestation.
FOR INDOOR USE IN BUILDINGS
USE LIMITATIONS
DO NOT apply when people or pets are present.
DO NOT allow people or pets to enter treated areas until dusts have settled. DO NOT apply to surfaces that may come into contact with food/feed. Cover or remove all food/feed. Cover all food/feed processing surfaces, equipment and utensils or thoroughly wash them following treatment. Any food/feed accidentally contaminated with this product must be discarded.
DO NOT apply to overhead areas or in confined spaces (e.g., attics, crawlspaces, small storage rooms, closets).
DO NOT allow dust to deposit onto non-target surfaces.
Ventilate treated areas after application by opening windows and doors or using fans, where required, to aid in the circulation of air.
HOW TO APPLY
DO NOT apply as a broadcast treatment. Apply as a crack and crevice, perimeter, spot or furniture (pet bedding, mattresses, box springs and bed frames only) treatment only.
Crack and crevice is an application directly into narrow openings on the surface of the structure. It does not include the treatment of exposed surfaces. Narrow openings typically occur at expansion joints, utility entry points and along baseboards and mouldings.
Perimeter application is less than 0.3 m wide along the edges of a room to baseboards, wall-floor and ceiling-wall joints, and around doorways or windows.
Spot application is localized to a surface area not more than 0.2 m2. Spots are not to be adjoining and the combined area of spots is not to exceed 10% of the total surface area of a room.
Furniture treatment: broadcast application covers large areas of the entire surface of items; crack and crevice treatments are applications to junction points on items; spot application is up to 10% of the surface of the item; and tuft and/or seam treatment (mattresses only) is to the junction of two or more pieces of fabric and any decorative trim (e.g., buttons).
INDOOR USE
To kill ants, cockroaches, silverfish, spiders, crickets, earwigs, sowbugs and boxelder bugs, lightly coat indoor building surfaces, including cracks and crevices in walls, floors and ceilings; along and behind baseboards; walls behind and floors beneath appliances (e.g., refrigerators and stoves) and furniture (e.g., built-ins, storage cabinets, medicine cabinets); around sinks, drains and pipes; localized areas around garbage cans; and in electrical outlet boxes. DO NOT exceed 20–25 g per m2.
To kill bed bugs: DO NOT use on items which can be laundered (e.g., pillows, bedding, toys, clothing, etc.). Remove bedding before treating mattress. Thoroughly dust both sides of mattress, particularly around tufts and seams.
Take bed apart and thoroughly dust the bed frame, springs and all joints. Also lightly coat indoor building surfaces, including cracks and crevices in walls, floors and ceilings; along and behind baseboards and mouldings; and localized areas of walls behind and floors beneath furniture (e.g., bed and nightstand). DO NOT exceed 20–25 g per m2.
To kill fleas: DO NOT apply to furniture (with the exception of pet bedding), mattresses, linens, toys or clothing. Thoroughly dust indoor building surfaces, including cracks and crevices in walls and floors; along and behind baseboards; window and door frames; and localized areas of floors and floor coverings. Pet bedding may be entirely treated with this product or replaced with clean, fresh bedding after other listed areas are treated. DO NOT exceed 20–25 g per m2. DO NOT DUST PETS WITH THIS PRODUCT. Only treat pets with products specifically registered for use on that type of pet. For effective flea control indoors, clean any area used by the pet. Cleaning the areas includes vacuuming floors, carpets, furniture, etc. (discard vacuum bag after use) and washing the pet’s bedding, living quarters, and surrounding area.
FOR USE ON OUTDOOR ORNAMENTAL PLANTS
USE LIMITATIONS
DO NOT apply to plants grown for food or feed (e.g., fruits, vegetables, herbs).
DO NOT apply to any body of water.
DO NOT contaminate irrigation or drinking water supplies or aquatic habitats by cleaning of equipment or disposal of wastes.
Avoid application of this product when winds are gusty.
OUTDOOR USE
To kill aphids, leafhoppers, leafrollers and thrips on ornamental plants and flowers: When listed pests first appear and when plants are dew covered or previously moistened with a spray of water, lightly apply the insecticide dust to thoroughly cover all foliage, including upper and lower leaf surfaces. DO NOT exceed 20–25 g per m2. Apply in early morning or evening – not in direct sunlight and when air is still. Apply dust only when air is still and temperature is below 32 °C. Use with caution on new growth and on tender young plants and foliage. Test on one or two leaves to determine safety.
PRECAUTIONS
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. DO NOT use near fish ponds or aquariums. Avoid inhalation of the dust. Wash hands and other exposed skin after handling.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS:
Toxic to aquatic organisms. Toxic to bees. Avoid application around blooming plants. If applications must be made during the blooming period, restrict applications to evening when most bees are not foraging. Toxic to beneficial arthropods (which may include predatory and parasitic insects, spiders, and mites). Minimize exposure to non-target areas.
FIRST AID
If swallowed: Call a poison control centre or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control centre or doctor. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
If on skin or clothing: Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15–20 minutes. Call a poison control centre or doctor for treatment advice.
If inhaled: Move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, then give artificial respiration, preferably by mouth-to-mouth, if possible. Call a poison control centre or doctor for further treatment advice.
If in eyes: Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15–20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a poison control centre or doctor for treatment advice.
Take container, label or product name and Pest Control Product Registration Number with you when seeking medical attention.
TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION:
Skin exposure may cause transient sensations (tingling, burning, itching, numbness). Other symptoms of exposure could include respiratory effects (such as cough, respiratory irritation, or shortness of breath), nausea, headache or dizziness. Treat symptomatically.
STORAGE: Store this product away from food or feed.
DISPOSAL: Do not reuse empty container. Discard in household garbage. Unused or partially used products should be disposed at provincially or municipally designated hazardous waste disposal sites.
NOTICE TO USER: This pest control product is to be used only in accordance with the directions on the label. It is an offence under the Pest Control Products Act to use this product in a way that is inconsistent with the directions on the label.
