Synopsis:

A nice prequel serie. I taught i was buying the US edition with slip. I've received the bilingual Canadian edition without slip. I'm disappointed.

    I normally don't unwrap my movies/shows until I actually want to watch them and was going to keep my steelbook sealed, but after seeing some of the reviews, I wanted to double check my copy for that disc 1 and 3 swap issue. Turns out my set was ok, phew. So it seems like the problem might have been with an certain batch specifically. Otherwise, I find the steelbook to be priced fairly for a 10 episode season, considering the steelbook packaging is only slightly more expensive than the regular edition.

    It's well worth watching if you need suspense, a bit of violence that's not too graphic, and intrigue, though as we already know that this young Dexter grows into a fully fledged serial killer we also know that he gets away with it.
    Acting is believable throughout with the young actor playing the titular character quite compelling. The other actors playing the young versions of established characters are also good especially Dex's sister in the Jennifer Carpenter role.
    You might ask if we needed another version of Michael C Hall ---- when played like this it's very entertaining and compelling.
    English subtitles on this version plus a bonus feature. Hopefully season 2 will be as good.
    Confirm that one of the discs is mislabelled.

    This rating is based only on incorrect naming of Disk 1 & 3...
    Disk 3 is actually 1 and Disk 1 is Disk 3...
    Once I watch the series, I'm certain I will like it as much as the original which is a 5 Star...
    I rip the episodes and watch them in PLEX...
    I currently have 1098 (& counting) TV Shows ripped to watch in PLEX. Lot more fun than
    than getting up and changing a disk... BTW that is approximately 4392 episodes.

    Picture is good, but sound was sputtering and completely messed up on all 3 discs. I am region 1, so all bluray play perfect on my LG....except these.
    (Edited)....I re-ordered from a different seller in ebay, and same problem with sputtering.
    However, I checked and German and French soundtracks play perfectly clear and can watch with English Subtitles. :O

    When they first announced Original Sin I thought I’d hate it because it looked like they were just rebooting everything, but this season knocks it out of the park. The cast and writing was phenomenal! I thought it would just be rehashing of older episodes but it really goes above and beyond as a true prequel to the original series. If you’re a fan of the original series you’ll most certainly enjoy this as well. If you’ve seen it and are interested in owning it physically, I’d definitely recommend it.
