Excellent quality, quite heavy though

- Reviewed in Canada on July 7, 2024Verified PurchaseI really enjoy the amount of tension this has and that it allows backwards pedaling! It's nice to get various muscles engaged depending on foot position. Very easy to assemble - note that the pedals have to be pushed down into the arm though (I struggled with this at first and initially thought the screws were too short but they weren't lol). Literally just put the pedals on, 4 screws, plug in and mount the display on the front of the machine, peel the sticker off the gear window, and you're good to go! Very comfortable too - I'm using a chair that rolls on a vinyl floor and it's still comfortable and usable! Completely silent, the reviews don't lie there. Definitely worth the purchase to help with restlessness while working at a desk. They made it very consumer friendly. Great job!

- Reviewed in Canada on October 7, 2021Verified PurchaseThis device was easy to assemble. It's easy to use. It does not require a power source. It runs completely silent. The foot pedals are extra wide and you get a different work out based on whether your feet are in a forward or rear position on the pedals. Step count is slightly inaccurate for your fitbit. My fitbit blaze has an elliptical setting, and I find the numbers are most accurate if I wear the fitbit using an ankle strap, but you probably won't see perfect 100% recorded cycles. However, despite that I find this workout more rewarding than using my treadmill. The treadmill workout was hard on my joints (essentially just lifting and lowering your legs in place). This gives me the exercise I want while watching my shows. I cannot get over how quietly it cycles--it makes zero noise. I couldn't be more satisfied with the device. With winter on the way I'm so glad to have this in place. You might also want to invest in a good pair of sandals or house loafers as simply wearing socks while pedaling against the molded pattern in the plastic can be a bit irritating. Overall though, this was an A+ purchase and cheaper than the more popular Cubii.
- Reviewed in Canada on December 21, 2022Verified PurchaseThis machine was easy to assemble. What is great about the deskCycle is it rides so smooth and stays in place. You can control the degree of hip flexion by placing your feet on different parts of the pedals. The hip flexion on this machine seems less than all I have looked at. Reducing hip flexion would help those with hip or back injuries and helps you pedal under a desk while not banging your knees underneath the desk. My husband tried it and wanted one. We both are surprised at how smooth and comfortable it is. I would advice sitting in a good chair or placing a pillow behind your back if you will use the machine for more than ten minutes. Think of it as a recumbent elliptical machine, you will need back support when you exercise.

Reviewed in Canada on December 28, 2023Verified PurchaseFacile à assembler et assez solide sur le plancher. Il est toutefois un peu difficile de trouver la bonne position pour être confortable pour utiliser l'appareil. Pour le prix, c'est excellent.
- Reviewed in Canada on July 28, 2024Verified PurchaseGreat little elliptical cycle thing for under the desk, as it’s marketed. Quite heavy, but solid. Bought for an elderly person who’s had a stroke and wants to keep moving their affected leg to keep blood flowing, even when sitting. He uses this while he sits and watches something on his iPad. Needs to be used in a proper backed chair, an armchair or something with soft cushions or a deep seat won’t work. Great purchase, would recommend.

So glad I purchased this machine.
- Reviewed in Canada on November 4, 2023Verified PurchaseYeah, it makes NO noise at all. It's very smooth. Putting it together was a breeze. Calculator on the website could be better but it syncs with Fitbit very well. Nifty little thing for the price you pay. Definitely recommend.
- Reviewed in Canada on March 5, 2024Verified PurchaseIt works perfectly and is quiet. If you can’t locate the display in the box, it’s most likely built into the underside of the styrofoam if you flip it over. I found out the hard way. Anyway, it’s perfect, thank you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny
Verified PurchaseThis exercise machine is perfect. I use it under my desk and it also serves as a foot rest when not using. It is ultra quiet. Its fine if on lowest tension setting, but once I increase the tension, it requires something to stop my chair from rolling back. There are several options for this on amazon though.

5.0 out of 5 stars So far so good
Verified PurchaseExcellent product manual and so easy to set up. Even though it’s heavier than I expected, the handle makes it easy to move. I’m using it in my knitting chair, which is a bit reclined, so I appreciate that it is solid and won’t shift away during pedaling. The motion is very smooth and quiet. “So far so good” because I usually can’t do two things at once and I haven’t tried knitting and pedaling yet.
This seems perfect for anyone recovering from knee injuries or suffering from vascular issues.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous!
Verified PurchaseSo very happy I bought this.
I bought this particular one because it looked sturdy and wouldn't fall apart after a few revolutions. It is sturdy. Very. So, it weighs quite a bit, and when you are trying to get it into the right spot under desk, it may take a bit of effort. But, it means it doesn't slide around when you are using it.
The varying degrees of resistance means there is a setting for pretty much anyone who uses it, and it's easy to change the resistance setting as needed.
It caters for little feet and big feet.
When I am using it, it is so quiet it doesn't interfere with the audio of teams meetings.
Because it's there under the desk, you almost can't help but use it.
I was worried that I would have to keep pushing it out of the way when I wasn't using it and drag my foot rest back in, but I have found that when I am not actively using it, the peddles are in just the right spot and height to act a foot rest.
I have recommended this to friends of mine, and am happy to stand by that recommendation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for Physical Therapy at home!!!
Verified PurchaseI have had chronic pain in my SI joint, right hip, and right leg for nearly three years due to a work injury. After going to the chiropractor for months and months to very little avail, I was losing hope in how to address the injury and fix my atrophy and strengthen my core while being unable to work due to the pain and discomfort. I am only 31 years old... After starting Physical Therapy and realizing that low-impact exercise is the key to recovery (in my situation, and many others), I decided to do research on at-home under desk cycles and ellipticals. It was a close call between this, the Desk Cycle 2, and the multiple versions of the Cubii. The Cubii seemed to have too much fitness tracking and tech addons that made the price unjustifiable/unnecessary to me. I also noticed through days and days of comparisons and reviews that Desk Cycle Ellipse was coming out above the competitors on range of motion, resistance settings, noise, and foot placement (different foot placement works different muscles vs the Cubii working only one set). So far, the Ellipse has made a HUGE difference in my physical recovery. When I am not at PT or doing my exercises at home, I am using the Ellipse any chance I can get. It really helps my morning aches and stiffness when using it first thing in the morning while checking email/drinking coffee. It really is about as silent as it gets without being invisible and/or defying physics. the rotation is very smooth, the 'clicking' people mention is attributed to a lack of lubricant on the wheels/base, not the bearings or flywheel. I was concerned when I got the clicking noise, but after trial and error, realized that a little lubricant of any kind and making sure no cat hairs were on the wheel 'track' was the fix for me. I would like the option to strap my feet on like the Cubii, as I notice my feet sliding around on higher resistances without running shoes on, but this is an easy and cheap velcro fix vs paying more for the Cubii. Super easy to move and store, and the display screen it comes with is an awesome addition and works well with the Desk Cycle fitness tracker. Zero sliding on carpet, I'd assume wood or tile is even more sturdy but I have zero complaints there too. Highly recommended - zero regrets, and the best investment hands down for my physical recovery I've taken in 3 years of exhausting other avenues!
