    This is a fun piece to do; however, not for beginners! I was disappointed that the thread colors provided are not as vibrant or contrasting as the picture illustrates, especially the tans/browns on the boots and the yellows on the sunflowers (see photos of the actual stitched piece vs the picture). If I were to do it over again, I might go buy my own DMC floss.
    I had plenty of thread by stitching strategically, except I ran a bit short on the dark mocha for the backstitching. I recommend either writing to the provided address to obtain more thread, or going to your local craft store and buying DMC #3031 Very Dark Mocha Brown.
    The backstitching is very challenging and would be overwhelming for a beginner. I had to get an enlargement of the pattern in order to see both the stitches and the backstitch lines.
    All in all, I enjoyed stitching this kit and think the finished product is very cute.
