Just go to a local store - the steel cases are almost always damaged. It's super rare to get one without some sort of damage.

    Firstly, let me start off by saying that this movie is another masterpiece by Studio Ghibli and is one of my favorites.
    The issue I have is not only with this steelbook, but with the entire steelbook collection recently released for all the big Ghibli titles (Howl's Moving Castle, Totoro, Princess Mononoke, etc).

    Every single one of them was manufactured poorly with little care for quality, and is obviously a cash grab for fans of the movies. So far, Nausicaa, Totoro, Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke, Kiki's Delivery Service and Ponyo have been released, and every one of them have scratches on them without fail.

    I've returned half of them for slightly better ones, but they still have less noticeable scratches. This is the third copy of Kiki's that I've ordered and it's still very scratched, but I give up. I would have returned it completely, but it's not worth my time and I don't want to break up the set.

    Stay away from this collection and buy the regular Blu-Ray version with the standard plastic blue cases. I cannot stress enough that this disappointing set is so cheaply made, it's impossible to get a perfect one. Believe me, I've tried.

    Blu ray quality is great. For those of us who own the original DVD the Changes made by Disney may not be to everyone's liking. Background music scores have been modified or changed. Maybe its not a big deal. I personally liked the original music score.

    Movie is good but case it arrived in is so damaged that the back seam is barely holding in by a thread.
    I didn¡¯t really notice prior to opening plastic but I think having seen it now, it¡¯d be hard to miss in the future but it looks like the lower back seam of the steel book got squished by something heavy.

    This review isn't for the film itself, it remains one of my favourites and I highly recommend it, just not this version.

    Like many others, the steelbook arrived heavily damaged, though the discs themselves seem fine. I didn't bother returning it as it seems the chances of getting an undamaged copy are pretty low.

    I already loved this movie but watching the special edition and getting to read the booklet that came along with it made me fall even more in with Kiki¡¯s delivery service. Watching this edition felt like I was watching it for the first time, with that same feeling of joy and excitement when you watch a movie you know you¡¯re gonna love for the rest of your life.

    Reading the booklet and getting to know more made me feel like I¡¯m a part of a special Kiki¡¯s club.

    The steelbox came in perfect condition no scratches or dents. I¡¯m so happy to own this edition and it looks so cute set out too. Would highly recommend this movie and this edition of it.

    Recieved it in great new condition with no dents, stratches, nothing broken.

    Recieved 2 discs - 1 blue-ray dvd and 1 regular dvd.
    Both played the whole movie with no issue.

    The regular dvd for some odd reason i don't know of - had the subtitles a teeny bit blury, but everything else was sharp and clear.
    Where as the blu-ray dvd - the subtitles/ closed caption were crisp and sharped and did not have any issue like the regular dvd.

    Any one who enjoys Studio Ghibli films will surely need to add this to their collection.
    Plus, i think its a great anime to watch anytime but especially during fall.
