About Us

Legacy Recordings is an American record label that is a division of Sony Music. Formed in 1990 after Sony's acquisition of CBS Records, Legacy originally handled the archives of Sony Music-owned labels Columbia Records and Epic Records. In 2004, under the Sony BMG joint venture, the label began to manage the archives of RCA Records, J Records, Windham Hill Records, Arista, LaFace, Jive, and Buddah Records. Legacy Recordings also distributes Philadelphia International Records and the catalog of recordings produced by Phil Spector. It is not related to the defunct British independent label Legacy Records.

    I'm now 65, and I grew up in the 70's/80's with music and the 'Dark Side Of The Moon' album. I was never a huge Pink Floyd fan till much later in life, when I upgraded my stereo equipment and purchased the 'Echoes' 2CD set! I was hooked from then on, and when I bought this Blu-Ray DVD, I was simply blown-away! I haven't been to many concerts in my life because I've always loved the recorded versions of band's songs, and I've always felt the live versions of the artist's music sounded flat, sorry. David Gilmour's vocals, the dynamics, and the accuracy of this concert in DTS-HD Master Audio on my 7.2.4 system is mind-blowing and only makes me wish I had been one of the crowd there!

    I've had the double CD of this since it came out in 1988. When I came across this version recently, I thought I'd check it out. Considering that the source material is over 35 years old now, the audio and video quality are very good.

    The performance is outstanding, I think this may be one of my favorite versions of Comfortably Numb. David Gilmour was definitely at the top of his game.
