    I used this date paste to make cookies and it's so much easier than turning dried dates into a paste. It is more expensive than dates you would buy in a grocery store but compare to 1kg of dried dates from the same brand, Date Crown, it's actually cheaper. These are supposed to be premium, organic dates coming from the UAE. Usually the dates I buy at the grocery store are not organic so the pricing makes sense. The packaging could be better. Once you open it, if you don't use it all at once (and you probably won't), you will need to find an air-tight container for the remainder.

    I've been very happy with this date paste, and use it in my homemade "energy balls".

    The package has an expiry date printed on it, and it came very fresh.

    My only nitpick is that the package is not resealable. If you plan to use all 1kg worth in a recipe, then that's not a big deal, but if you are splitting it between recipes, then you'll want to transfer it to another container.

    At the time of this review, this 1kg block is listed for $21.99, which is more than loose dates, but the smoothness and freshness are worth the premium.
