    Nur ein paar Worte zum Film, da bereits breit diskutiert:

    Ein Monument von Film, der wohl beste Ausdruck um Nolan`s ersehnte Fortsetzung von "Batman Begins" zu beschreiben. Lenkte er doch mit seiner Neuinterpretation den dunklen Ritter in eine bis dato noch unbekannte Richtung, die Schumacher`s grell-bunten Versionen wie Amateurfilme aussehen lässt - der aber für seine Greueltaten auch direkt in Arkham eingewiesen wurde. Vielmehr war es diese realistische Herangehensweise, mit der Nolan Batman hat wieder auferstehen lassen. Dem enormen Hype zum Trotz avancierte "The Dark Knight" zu einer der besten Comic-Adaptionen jemals ...

    Mitschuld am immensen Erfolg hat mit Sicherheit das Schauspieleraufgebot, welches zum größten Teil aus dem Vorgänger bekannt ist. Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine und natürlich Christian Bale als die titelgebende Figur, um die populärsten zu nennen. Neu an Bord, Aaron Eckhart, der in die Rolle des Harvey Dent schlüpft und wie vermutet später den Two Face gibt. Sie alle erledigen ihren Job mehr als zufriedenstellend, aber zentrale Figur des Films ist ein ganz anderer ... Der Joker, gespielt von dem verstorbenen Heath Ledger, der mit seiner Performance nicht nur den wohl bekanntesten Erzfeind Batmans gibt, sondern seinem Widersacher auch mindestens ebenbürtig ist - in allen Belangen. Herausragendes Schauspiel, welches oft als Aushängeschild für "The Dark Knight" gilt und dem beliebten Bösewicht seine ganz eigene Note verleiht.

    Beinahe von dramatischem Ausmaße verläuft der Kampf im von Korruption verkommenen Gotham, bei dem sich Batman nicht nur der Herausforderung des Jokers stellen muss, sondern auch noch mit seinem inneren Konflikt konfrontiert wird. Nicht zuletzt wegen der düsteren Inszenierung Nolans, einem wohl durchdachten Drehbuch, dem hervorragenden Cast und dem vielleicht charismatischsten Schurken der jüngeren Filmgeschichte, etablierte sich "The Dark Knight" zu einer Fortsetzung, die seinem Vorgänger in Nichts nachsteht und zu dem Kino-Highlight 2008 für alle Cineasten und die, die es noch werden wollen ...

    Die Premium Collection, Blu-ray:

    Zum Digi-Book:
    Das Digi- oder Media-Book ist sehr hochwertig - bemerkbar durch das stabile/robuste Cover und die Rückseite. Um das eigentliche "Book" befindet sich noch ein transparenter Plastik-Schuber, auf dem sich leider ein fest integriertes (transparentes) FSK-Logo befindet. Auf dem "Book" an sich ist dieses nicht mehr vorhanden. Das Bildmotiv auf dem Cover glänzt übrigens (auf den Bildern leider nicht zu sehen). Im Inneren befindet sich natürlich das Booklet, welches 39 (!) Seiten umfasst. Hauptsächlich finden sich Produktionsinformationen (Hintergründe der Charaktere usw.), sowie einige Illustrationen - sehr informativ. Das Mediabook ist ein wenig größer als andere Blu-ray-Formate: nämlich ca. 17,8 cm in der Höhe und ca. 14,2 cm in der Breite.

    Disc-Informationen:
    Der Inhalt dieser Edition beläuft sich auf zwei Discs (Hauptfilm mit einigen Features und der Disc mit dem bekannten Bonusmaterial bisheriger Fassungen). Die Extras sind teilweise in HD vorhanden. HD-Sound ist nur in Englisch 5.1 zu hören. Das Bildformat wechselt zwischen HD-Widescreen 16:9,2.4:1 und 1.78:1, bedingt durch die Imax-Sequenzen.

    Fazit:
    In erster Linie ist diese Edition interessant für Sammler und all diejenigen, die "The Dark Knight" noch nicht in High-Definition ihr Eigen nennen können. Der Film an sich ist reinste Unterhaltung und sicherlich in der Oberliga sämtlicher Comic-Verfilmungen anzusiedeln, untergebracht in einer gelungenen Sammler-Edition (auf den Bildern bei weitem nicht so schön wie in Natura!), die, abgesehen von dem Booklet, nicht viel neues bietet, aber mit einer ausgezeichneten Bild- und Tonqualität hält, was sie verspricht. Wer also auf ein tolles Design und das Booklet verzichten kann, verzichtet eben. Davon ab, macht sich die Premium Collection wunderbar im Regal - erst recht, wenn die analog erschienene Edition von "Batman Begins" neben ihr steht. Von daher ein fünf Sterne Produkt und klare Kaufempfehlung!

    Christopher Nolan is back und mit ihm auch Batman. Nachdem schon erfolgreichen Reboot des Batman-Genres BATMAN BEGINS folgt nun ein Meisterwerk THE DARK KNIGHT, welches mit 2 Oscar ausgezeichnet wurde.
    Selten wurde ich so von einem Film mitgerissen und unterhalten wie hier. THE DARK KNIGHT setzt neue Maßstäbe indem es auf Qualität und Perfektion setzt, als auf wir müssen schnell mal eine Fortsetzung drehen um Geld zu machen solange die Leute noch heiß sind.

    Story:
    Die Story ist schlüssig und unterhaltsam und bietet für jeden etwas. Es wird einem das volle Programm geboten über Action, Thriller, ein wenig Romanze und Drama. Genau wie in Batman Begins versucht Batman das organisierte Verbrechen von Gotham mit Hilfe von James Gordon und Rachel Dawes zu unterbinden und wird diesmal von Staatsanwalt Harvey Dent unterstützt. Dies gelingt ihnen auch ganz gut bis ein geschminkter Irrer auftaucht der aussieht wie ein Clown ' der Joker. Er allein stellt ganz Gotham auf den Kopf und stellt Batman vor Entscheidungen die er bis jetzt noch nie zutreffen hatte. Der Rest ist Tragik.
    Für viele war die Story zu überfüllt ich sah das nicht so, ich habe mich keine Minute gelangweilt und war einfach nur überrascht in welche Richtungen sich der Film immer wieder entwickelte.

    Die schauspielerische Leistung in diesem Film ist einfach nur genial. Nicht nur Christian Bale, Gary Oldman oder Michael Cane stechen hier hervor, sondern auch alle anderen Nebenrollen wurden fantastisch gecastet. Natürlich ist der heimliche Star des Films Heath Ledger, welcher zu recht den Oscar für die beste Nebenrolle enthalten hat. Sein diabolisches Auftreten wird auch noch Jahrzehnte später in Erinnerung bleiben und ein Klassiker werden.

    Für die Musik haben sich Hans Zimmer und James Newton Howard wieder mächtig ins Zeug gelegt und unterstützen den Film gigantisch auf höchstem Niveau.

    Fazit:
    Das ist mein Batman! Der Film hat einfach alles, einen glaubwürdigen und düstern Batman und einen hervorragend gespielten Gegner - den Joker. Ein besonderes Highlight bietet die Blu-Ray Variante in dem sie ausgewählte Szenen, welche mit IMAX-Kameras gedreht wurden in Full-Screen wieder geben, und es so einem erlauben noch tiefer in die Batman-Welt einzutauchen. Bild und Ton sind meiner Meinung nach 1A und auch noch heute eine Referenz! Ich habe jetzt schon wirklich viele Blu-Rays gekauft und selbst die neuerschienen Filme kommen von der Qualität des Bildes nicht an diesen Film ran!
    Auch alle anderen Darsteller (Aaron Eckert, Maggie Gyllenhaal und Morgan Freeman) demonstrieren ihre Klasse! Des Weiteren hat der Film über 1 Milliarden $ eingespielt und so viele Menschen können sich einfach nicht irren :)
    Also wer mal wieder einen genialen Filmabend erleben möchte mit Starbesetzung und Entertainment am laufenden Band und das auch noch auf höchstem Niveau, ist hier gut beraten! - 10 von 10 Sternen !!!

    Noch ein wichtiger Hinweis:
    Wenn man die Disc 2 (Specials) einlegt, dann denn dritten Trailer öffnet und laufen lässt und folgenden Code eingibt -56537- öffnet sich automatisch ein neuer Trailer welcher vom Joker bearbeitet wurde, den sogenannten Jokerized Trailer. Viel Spaß beim anschauen

    The Dark Knight was released on July 14, 2008, almost 6 months after Heath’s death. The film started filming on April 2, 2007 and finished filming on October 19, 2007. I personally found the plot weak and the casting (besides Heath, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman) not quite convincing. The love story between Rachel and the other guy (I forgot his name, since his character is so easy to forget) has neither magic nor depth. I think it could have been much more interesting to explore the relationships between the characters and to tell much more of the Joker’s story instead of so many explosions, fights and guns. Nevertheless, it’s a good movie for teenagers (although very violent) and for people who love comic-book heroes. The special effects are spectacular, and the Joker and the music (Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard) are definitely the best of the film. Heath’s portrayal of the Joker is so good that when he is not on screen the movie really goes down, and when he appears, one cannot take the eyes off of him. The Joker is so cool and brilliant that one really wants him to win the battle. Although not a fan of comic books, Heath said that “the character of the Joker was too good to turn down”. Heath wasn’t a fan of blockbuster movies neither, but the character was too attractive: “in this monster machine of a movie, popcorn movie … it was purely a character choice, I can honestly say that”. He thought that Jack Nicholson’s portrayal of the Joker was perfect (“To touch what Jack Nicholson did in Tim Burton’s world would be a crime”), and he never compared himself to Nicholson because he really believed that the worlds of Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan are completely different, and therefore, uncomparable: “It was an opportunity for a new version of the Joker”. Although Heath knew immediately after being asked to play the Joker how he wanted to do it (“I knew 5 seconds later exactly how to play it”), he locked himself up in a hotel room in London for 6 weeks in order to prepare his character, looking for the Joker’s voice and looking for his laugh: “I locked myself away for 6 weeks in a room and I kind of came up with this creep”. He wrote a diary about the Joker he was going to portray with notes, drawings and photos of old Batman Comics, hyenas and A Clockwork Orange. His father shows the diary in the great German TV series-Documentary Too Young to Die: Heath Ledger (S1, Ep. 3, July 28, 2012). I bought the Documentary in English from the producers of the show and I can say that it is the best documentary about Heath that I’ve seen. Kim Ledger says, showing “the Joker” diary: “He galvanized the upcoming character in his own mind. That was typical of Heath … this was just on a whole new level”. The diary ends with the words “Bye, bye”, which are, after Heath’s death, very painful. There are many stupid speculations about how portraying the Joker led Heath to exhaustion and death, but the truth is that, although the character required a high level of energy, “it was incredibly enjoyable”. Heath said in many interviews that he had a lot of fun playing the Joker: “The Joker was … the most fun I ever had … probably ever will have playing a character”. He described the Joker as a “dark, very nasty … psychopath, sociopath, mass-murdering clown”. The Joker was not only evil but something else: “He’s not just gonna be scary … there are [a] few surprises, I think”. Sadly, Heath didn’t see any takes or parts of the film, because the producers were very secretive about it: “I think the movie is going to be awesome. I’m very excited for it. I haven’t seen anything. Nothing. They really don’t want anyone to see anything. It’s very secretive. But just from what I’ve seen first hand and just from what I’ve heard, I think it’s going to be good”. The movie is “In memory of our friends Heath Ledger and Conway Wickliffe”.     Voor een 4k is de geluidskwaliteit ondermaats.
    Ik heb een bescheiden verzameling dvd, bluray en 4k films, maar dit is onmogelijk om te kijken zonder de afstandsbediening in de hand te houden.
    Explosies en harde slagen zijn zo luid dat je het volume zo moet aanpassen dat je de gesprekken niet meer hoort.
    Het ligt niet aan mijn televisie of geluidsinstallatie want het probleem stelt zich enkel bij deze film.
