I looked at many brands and read lots of reviews before finally deciding on this particular fridge. I was a bit concerned about possible damage from shipping and the inconvenience of returning but in the end I decided to take a chance. So far, no regrets. It was delivered in perfect condition. For what I need it for, this is the perfect fridge.
I bought this for my office at work. I was looking for the biggest mini fridge that is functional, quiet, affordable and pretty to look at. This fits the bill!
I followed the instructions patiently. I let the fridge sat upright for a few hours before plugging it in. I set the temp at the highest setting. I waited overnight to allow it to cool, lowered to almost mid temp, then loaded all my stuff.
What I like: (1) very quiet operation (2) all fridge and no freezer so need to defrost every so often (3) adjustable shelves with bottle rack/Canstor door liner - plenty of functional space for my lunch meals, pop, water, condiments, etc. (4) interior light.
I wish it came with a crisper at the bottom of the fridge for some fruits but it's not a deal breaker.
I would definitely recommend this brand and this particular mini fridge for anyone who is on the market for a mini fridge.

I bought the 4.4^2' "all fridge" model in black.

If you're buying a mini fridge you should go for the "all fridge" models because they cool more evenly and have more reliable compressors. If you need a freezer, get a separate freezer. If you try to use the ice box in a freezer/fridge mini combo to keep things frozen you're gonna have a bad time. They don't freeze evenly or consistently.

Things I like about this fridge:

* Quiet
* Looks great
* All branding is removable
* Energy efficient
* Cools evenly throughout the entire box
* No frost
* Door is reversible

Things I don't like about this fridge:

* Wire shelves -- the shelves were listed as glass when I made my purchase but the description was updated after to reflect wire, which they are.
* The can holders in the door suit cans nicely but if you put bottles of Soylent into them the bottles bump into the shelves and the door won't close. I would like to have the holders spaced so they go in between the shelves.
* It has one of those electromagnet rims around the door so that after you close it, it's very difficult to open for a few minutes afterward. This is supposed to discourage opening the door again soon to save electricity. Number of times this feature has actually stopped people from opening their fridge: ZERO. All this feature does is make it more frustrating for me to put the milk back.

Didn't manage to keep safe food temperatures. I determined it was defective with the rep and I was given a refund.

The fridge arrived in good condition but ultimately did not work properly. I did exactly what the instructions say that come included.

This includes: waiting 6 hours before turning it on, using a 120 V outlet, using an outlet with nothing else using power from it, having 5 inches of clearance on all sides, having the fridge inside and with good air circulation, making sure the door is tightly sealed, and not putting too much warm food in at once.

Once it failed to hold even around 40 degrees F on max cold setting, I did some tests to see what would make it work. I put it in the middle of the room with 5 feet clearance on all sides. I also had a fan blowing cold air on the various parts of the fridge. I tested the voltage of the outlet to make sure it worked. To make it even worse, I have nothing in the fridge to cool and it can only get around 45 degrees F. This isn't safe for keeping food. They even have mayo in the picture sitting in the fridge. I tested the fridge with a calibrated temperature gauge. It's readings match my full sized fridge and what its display reads. I put a couple of already cold drinks in the fridge and it lost it's mind. It actually rose 5 degrees F when I did that.

The fridge does come with plenty of room to fit a lot of stuff and runs fairly silent. You can take shelves out and adjust them and easy to clean. No worries about water or frost buildup which is nice.

To return it was simple. I selected return on my order and then selected to chat with an �鶹�� representative. I got asked a couple of questions and was given a refund. If you experience any problems consider what I did with mine and try to get a refund or replacement at no
cost to you.

The reason for the 1 out of 5 stars? What would you give for a unit that is defective? Should I just not write a review? The simple answer is I check the 1 star reviews before I buy a product what I might too encounter. It's been a while since I've gotten a defective appliance or electronic part. I expect them to work if no visible damage can be seen and the product has never been used.

I'd also like to point out the "John" that commented in my review is the same "John" you see replying to other reviews saying he works for Danby and if he can do anything about it contact him to other customers but not me.

Perfect fermentation chamber - with slight modifications

They say proper fermentation is the key to brewing better beer, so after mulling this over for a couple weeks I decided to pull the trigger and purchase. I was a slightly concerned with it being tall enough to hold a 7 gallon wide mouth carboy, but tall enough wasn't the issue. The main hinderance was the molded shelving on the door. So with a box cutter, I carfully cut around the inside (leaving the seal in place). To be clear, I cut on the inside part of the seal, you need to keep the seal and the part of the plastic that the seal inserts into, or the door will not close. I also needed to use a plastic scraper to loosen the foam from the inside of the door to take the molded shelving out. The shelving is secured by the foam insulation and not by screws. Once again, this is to accommodate a 7 gallon plastic wide mouth carboy. You may not need to alter for a keg or smaller carboy. Anyway, once I did that, I purchased a sheet of 1/2 foam board at Home Depot for $6, cut it to fit and secured it where the molded shelving once was. I also removed the door seal, put a piece of white plastic over the newly foamed area and secured the plastic by snapping the seal back into it's channel. I should probably also mention that by doing all this, I most certainly voided the warranty on the fridge. However, the setup works really great and this fridge, combined with the Inkbird thermostat and Fermwrap carboy heater (see those product reviews) keeps my beer at the exact fermentation temperature.

After searching on �鶹�� for a decently priced and reliable beverage fridge, I resorted to an actual refrigerator because the beverage coolers had so many reviews of not keeping their contents cold enough. This Danby product had everything I was looking for (good price, good size/storage, no freezer albeit, you can choose a freezer unit if you want). I keep it in my new computer room and this thing is QUIET! I feel like a ticking analog clock would be louder than this thing.

I use this as my beer fridge (although, I keep some soda and wine in there) to avoid taking up space in my main/kitchen fridge. Plenty of racks/levels to modify how you want your layout to be. I took out one tier from both the main space and the door area so I can fit taller items.

Only dislike I have on this is that it came slightly dented (wasn't the boxing/packaging). I believe it was factory issues because both boxes were fine. But it's barely noticeable since it's on the bottom and I don't want to go thru the hassle to returning/exchanging.
