I thought these would be a solution to a problem we had after moving to an apartment. I solved the “popping” problem with them (plug them directly into a power outlet and not a power bar). The problem now is that their broadcast frequency keeps hitting the same one as the router is already on. Changing the 5.8 Ghz to 5.2 Ghz doesn’t help as the transmitter keeps broadcasting at the router’s frequency which cripples Internet connectivity. Not good. I’m looking for something that will perform better.
June 13 2025. I was still getting the odd “pop” once or twice a night. I downloaded some software on my laptop to analyze nearby networks in the apartment building (frequency and channel) and found both 5G areas to be very congested. I changed my router frequencies to one that wasn’t used (“Auto” doesn’t do a good job that way). This provided one nearby vacant channel and frequency that the wireless speaker unit could “find”. It now works without “popping”.
This unit would have worked well in my old house, but likely isn’t a great fit in an apartment unless the user does some network diagnostics because of the frequency and channel congestion inherent in apartment buildings.

First off before buying a wireless speaker kit you need to check if your reciever has the option for preamp outputs. Usually only high end recievers do but if yours has preamp outputs dont get this kind of speaker kit get an rca wireless audio kit (pro audio makes one and it's on amazon). You can get one with the left and right channel inputs/outputs or a single one then use y splits if you need to. Preamp outputs are those red and white rca cables if you dont know what I'm talking about. Using preamps to do your wireless speakers not only is better audio quality wise but will also give you the option to get your own 2 channel amp with your desired wattage per speaker. My reciever unfortunately doesn't have preamp speaker outputs so I this is the kit I had to go with.

This kit will be the third and most expensive wireless rear speaker kit I've bought. I've tried 2 other brands one of which was the rocketfish kit from bestbuy. It was worked okay but at only 25 watts per speaker it just didnt get loud enough and had some serious clipping/crackling problems when playing at high volume. If you have cheap speakers 25 watts might be enough but my speakers are rated 20-150 watts so 25 just is not enough. The dynasty kit being the most expensive is worth just for the fact that you get 50 watts per speaker and the option to hook up a subwoofer. So far I haven't had any issues with connectivity and my 2.4g/5g router sits a couple feet away from the transmitter. Most routers nowadays will automatically switch to the least crowded 5g band so if you have issues with connectivity you really should check your router settings and either change channel bands manually or check that auto channel is enabled which most are enabled by default. Another thing I noticed with this kit which other people mentioned is random popping noises. I had issues with popping or crackling noises on every single wireless speaker kit I bought inclusing this one and it mostly happens when playing at high volume or during intense scenes. I think the problem is with the input end. If you're reciever is sending too much power to the transmitter I think that's what causes the popping or crackling noises. What I did on all of my wireless kits to get rid of the popping noises is raise the volume all the way up on the output/amp end of your kit then use your receivers auto calibration to adjust and lower the volume to the rear speakers. This will hopefully lower the output from your reciever to the transmitter. Now this will vary depending on your reciever and how many watts it puts out per channel which is probably why only some people have issues with popping noises. If you try that and it doesnt get rid of the popping noises you will need to manually adjust your rear speaker volume from your reciever until the noises disappear. My reciever puts out 80 watts per channel and my calibration put my rear speakers at around -3db and I got no more popping noises. As far as sound quality goes this kit is excellent. Very clear and less static than my rocketfish kit. One thing I highly recommend for any home theater is getting noise filter clips that you snap onto your wires to reduce noise/static. I got a variety pack of them on amazon for 15 bucks and trust me it helps A LOT especially with these wireless kits. Almost completely removes static noises from your speakers. All you do is snap them onto your power cord lines on your reciever, subwoofer, speaker kits etc. If you have issues with humming from your speakers or you hear static in your speakers then is is an absolute must. Last thing i noticed with this kit is the delay which was double that of my rocketfish kit. This should not be a problem in most cases however in some cases for example when I stream a movie through my tv only the audio gets sent back through hdmi to my reciever which will take that audio and adjust for the year speaker delay which causes some very serious lip sync issues. This can be adjusted for manually in my tv and or reciever but it is annoying. If your video sources pass through your reciever then to your tv then you shouldn't have any problems with this.

I spent a lot of time and money trying to find the kit and I tried to include as much helpful information here as I could. Hopefully this helps someone because i know there's a lot of people out there that are frustrated with the lack of options for wireless speaker kits like I was.

SUMMARY: It works for the designated purpose, i.e. transmitting surround sound wirelessly and feeding passive surround speakers. BUT you need to get prepared for a couple of weird, undocumented surprises.

PROS:
1. The amplifier has adequate power for the surround speakers. (We watch movies at reasonable, medium-to-high volumes, but never try extremes...)
2. I have not noticed any noticeable distortion or unexpected hiss/hum or any signal interruptions during multiple movies we watched over the last several days.

CONS:
1. The manufacturer does not warn you about it, but actually Surround signal and Subwoofer signal are MIXED! The sub output is NOT independent, everything going to the subwoofer also goes to the surround speakers. In other words, do not even think of connecting both the Surround speakers and the Subwoofer to this box! You will not be able to calibrate your system properly... In their own (email from Support) words: "Since the Rear Speaker Input and Subwoofer Input on the WSA-5RP are mixed, not the two separate or independent channel, so you will hear the sound are mixed."
2. Speaker output terminals are reversed! In reality (read further) you need to connect the Red (positive) speaker cable to the Black (negative) terminal, and the other way round... I have been able to calibrate the whole system with Audyssey (built into Marantz and Denon receivers) with Surround speakers connected to the box. BUT my system initially, after testing my setup with Surround speakers, produced the weirdest error message I've ever seen, namely, that my Surround speakers are out of phase.

I originally thought that may be speaker outputs were accidentally marked or installed in the wrong way on one of the Dynasty amplifier channels. I have first inverted the connection for the right surround speaker (connecting the positive, Red connector to the Black terminal, and the other way round). The system then produced another error message that said that my Left surround channel was out of phase... I had to revert speaker connections for that channel as well, and after it the system was successfully calibrated/optimized, and seems to work fine.

This is BIG, because for all people who didn't calibrate their systems, surround bass will be partially canceling the bass coming from the subwoofer and front speakers if connected "normally", because it will be 180 degrees out of phase...

My house had to have a wireless solution for my receiver's surround speakers. First, I tried the Amphony Wireless Speaker Kit. They worked, but they eventually created hiss sounds and one receiver failed completely. So then I discovered thatYamaha's Musiccast is not only like Sonos for room speakers, it also natively supports wireless surround on many Yamaha receiver models. On paper, Musiccast looks great. But in practice, I had constant popping sounds and drop-outs. If the surround channel wasn't playing, it was awful. I spent hours trying everything and even had Yamaha technical support trying to help me. I gave up, especially after reading about these Dynasty's.

Other reviews were saying "no hiss", "works out of the box", etc. And they are right. I connected this up to my Polk SE10 satellites and it works flawlessly. And yes, NO hiss! Superb, reliable connection. You hear only the audio. No hiss or popping. The amp is good. Not great, but using a 100 watt maximum 8 ohm speaker, the Dynasty provides more than enough volume for my side surrounds.

Finally, a working solution!

Tomorrow I will update because I am going to install rear surrounds with another Dynasty unit to the same receiver!

Also, my Dynasty did not come with RCA cables for the receiver's pre-outs. Only regular speaker wire. So if you want to connect your transmitter to your receiver's preouts you'll need to provide your own male to male RCA cables.

7/15/2024 - I bought a 2nd set for rear surrounds, and they also work flawlessly. Right out of the box with the regular surrounds. No adjustments needed. They work great!

I'm an old time tech guy and when I set this system up, everything looked good but nothing out of the rear SS speakers. I spent an hour checking connections and could not find anything wrong. Finally I reset both units with the M button and they connected. So far so good, no strange clicking or popping, just what I wanted. But took too long to set up.

Why include speaker wire without a ridge so we can keep polarity correct. Fix that.

I got these as a replacement for my Amphony wireless surround system which had broken and were crappy anyway. When I got the Dynasty Audio they worked initially, and their tech support was helpful and guided me through setting up two receivers to receive from one transmitter (my surrounds are far apart and I didn’t want to run cable from one receiver to two speakers across my living room as that defeats the point of them being wireless) but then I started having problems. I found every time I’d switch a program or streaming device, the surrounds would no longer work (proven by testing with my amplifier’s speaker level calibration tool), but if I powered the transmitter on and off again then they would work. They would also lose surrounds if I paused a program and returned to it a few minutes later, and the only fix was to turn them off and back on again. It’s like they were doing some kind of auto-muting. I tried literally every solution I could think of, pairing and unpairing, trying 5.2hgz instead of 2.4, and nothing worked, they’d always lose the surrounds after switching programs or pausing and the only fix was to turn them off and back on. While it took some time to get the issue resolved, Dynasty discovered a problem with sensitivity that could lead to the muting so they changed their capacitance on their circuit boards and sent me a new pair that work great now. While the initial issue was aggravating, I’ll give Dynasty credit for working hard to solve the problem!
