So I bought a high profile name brand to replace the battery in my 2019 toyota corolla key fob. It went out in a couple of months. Got these instead and it's still going strong half a year later. go figure. you can still get duds from the big guns too.

I got this to replace the aging battery in my 2017 Toyota RAV4 key fob and it appears to work great so far. It fit right in without any issues, but you should check with your car manual to see what size battery your fob takes since it differs between makes and models. It is still too early to say how this compares in longevity to other batteries, but I am not too worried since three were included in the box. However, batteries do have a shelf life too and if the first battery lasts a little too long, the others might start degrading while still in their packaging. Either way, I will update this review if the batteries crap out earlier than expected or do anything strange.

My key fob actually calls for size 2032 cell batteries, but I have found that you can stack two 2016 batteries and they fit the same. The real test will be how long they last, but for now they seem to offer full strength, and the value is certainly there. I do find the packaging so frustrating. It took five minutes to get the batteries out of the package, and then 30 seconds to put them in the key fob, but I guess that's how most are these days.

As noted, it is always a good idea to have spare batteries of key specs on hand for things like your car fob or other essential remote tech. While the durability of these batteries is not known, they could probably get you by until you could get a longer term solution. At this price, you can afford to have standbys and not break the bank.
