Years ago, the great hero Ortega bid farewell to his wife and child as he set off on a quest to defeat the villainous Archfiend, Baramos. Now, on their sixteenth birthday, Ortega’s only child is summoned by the king of Aliahan and entrusted with a mission of the highest importance: to take on Ortega’s quest, vanquish Baramos, and save the world. Accompanied by a band of travelling companions chosen in the beginning of the game, players are immersed in a vast HD-2D world full of towns, dungeons, and caves, meet fascinating characters, and fight ferocious monsters in enhanced turn-based battles.     I was incredibly excited to play this game. It looked gorgeous and I've had fun with a few dragon quest games in the past. This game was so boring i couldn't even finish it. Everything happens so slowly. Moving items, talking to people, everything takes so much time and has so many unnecessary steps. The combat is even worse. The game is very grindy, so get ready to stare at the same enemies watching the same few animations over and over and over. Now you might be saying, that sounds like most turn based rpgs. Well this game has a special skill other games don't have. Making every single thing boring. Is my review boring you? Good, it's still not as boring as this game was. Do yourself a favour and go play DQ11 or DQ8. Trust me if you like things to be remotely interesting or exciting, don't play this. Watch paint dry instead. 3 out of 5 cause it's really pretty, and has potential to be fun.
