    Heater arrived quickly. No template for 4 mounting holes and really cheap screws but it's up and working. The different heat levels were listed as 650/1300/2000 watts. This is incorrect as the three levels listed in the operating instructions are level 1 at 500w, level 2 at 1000w and level 3 at 1500w. Still, not bad for the price and hopefully it lasts.

    We set this up in our garage and right off the bat, use your own anchors and not the cheap ones it comes with. I like the size of this unit and to me, it doesn't feel cheap. On the highest setting, this heater does radiate some good heat and I like that you can tilt it up or down depending on your needs but I wish you could twist it left or right. I'm a little confused about the pull string, it just doesn't seem appropriate for outdoor use. The pull string feels sturdy as it is a braided nylon but I have little confidence it will last in the outdoors where you have varying temperatures, weather changes, and humidity. It would have made a lot more sense if there was a manual dial or even a remote control.

    Also, bear in mind with an IPX4 rating, this can only withstand light splashes of water. This offers little protection from rain and is no way waterproof. Be mindful if your are setting this up outdoors and keep it away from the elements.

    I installed this heater on my gazebo structure. It seems small but it actually creates lots of heat for one person. If I close the mosquito/wind net it actually keeps the heat inside the gazebo. easy to install and doesn't wobble in the wind if properly tighten. Good quality and price.

    Bought two units and had read some reviews about them catching fire and melting the plastic. But, overall reviews were decent. So I decided to purchase and keep a close eye on any overheating issues. When I turned the first heater on max level 3 (high), it started to smoke from the one side of the heater. Back cover was also getting extremely hot. I shut off and returned both. I can't see any indication that these heaters are CSA approved to use in Canada. Not worth the risk to save a few bucks.
