This product is wonderful, as you can see by my before and after photos,I did not have this at full blast and I'm to scared to,so far I've melted plant pot,solar light and killed an iris or 2, never use this unless it is perfectly still no breeze. But this is user error not the product, my only grievance is its heavy on the wrist to use any longer than 30 minutes for me,aside have arthritis in my wrists,I brought this to do the weeds that pop up through the gravel, so I will see how long it takes for any to come back.

    This is a very good quality item at a good price. My application is to heat up and "weld" shrink wrap for our dinghy. The torch works great even when you only have a very small amount of gas running through it and then you pull the trigger which forces a high amount of gas and air into the torch which easily heats up the shrink wrap evenly in order to let the shrink wrap get hot enough to melt and adhere to itself. I tried this torch on some of our weeds in our garden and it worked very effectively on those as well it does not seem to use a high amount of gas but I didn't run it for too long so I don't have a good base yet to judge the gas usage . I highly recommend this item

I only took 1 star, cause it stopped igniting unless I press on the gas!, cause it should ignite and have a small flame to stay, and then when pressing the gas it will give the full flames, but it stopped doung that almost after few uses, and now I have to press gas and try the ignition couple of times before ignite and give full flame.

    I burned weeds growing through my gravel driveway with vinegar and soap, but it still didn't look very clean. So I used this propane torch and man does it handle weeds, even if they are green, just takes a bit longer.

    The only reason I gave it 4 stars was that initial it didn't quite work, there seems to be a pressure protection valve, that if you open your propane tank completely, it won't allow it to flow normally, you'll basically just get a pilot flame. After reading the instructions (yeah my bad, was too excited to start before reading them), I closed the valve on the tank almost completely, tried again, and now it worked as intended. I still had to shut it off and restart twice after, the only reason I gave it a 4 star. If you don't hear an afterburner sound (I'm sure my neighbors could here it fairly loud), it burns so much, small pebbles will be blasted away, some rocks even stuck to the soles of my boots after walking on the "treated" area. If you just see a normal flame, possibly too much pressure in the system. If it's working correctly, it will be fairly loud and flame will look like the back of an F-14!

    This thing is no joke, it is crazy powerful and absolutely destroys weeds, turning them to ash.
