DOLORES: My Journey Home (Finding Myself Beyond The ACE Family)—PART ONE Kindle Edition
鶹
She had the perfect life. Until she chose a braver one.
Catherine Paiz grew up far from the spotlight, in the vibrant multicultural city of Montreal, Canada, where her dreams began. When her path led her to Los Angeles, she built a life that seemed like a fairy tale: love, children, and a pioneering YouTube career that influenced millions. As part of The ACE Family, she became a familiar face around the globe. But behind the scenes, Catherine was carrying heartbreak, facing betrayal, navigating intense public scrutiny, and slowly losing herself.
When everything she built began to unravel, she set out on the most important journey of all—alchemizing her pain into strength, transforming her life, and finding her way back to the woman she was always destined to be. This is the true story of a life that looked perfect, and the brave heart who stepped beyond the picture to find something real.

- Reviewed in Canada on June 24, 2025Format: PaperbackI didn't like it. She said a lot of judgy, negative things about almost everyone she wrote about but none of herself. A lot of names were mentioned,i hope at least her close friends were asked if she could share certain stories of them. Then there was a lot of repetition in the chapeters talking about her life with Austin. A lot of virgo energy aka victim mentality in the whole book. No taking accountability for anything other than admitting a lie to the long time ex. There was also a lot of jumping back in time then jumping ahead for a sentence or 2. It was confusing. At first i enjoyed it when she wrote about her parents in the beginning, about things i never knew, but as i kept reading i realized she aired out other peoples business and didn't share much of her own life as an adult. She multiple times talked about growing up so poor but not once did she say she became rich, wealthy, where her finances were with Austin or even now. Like i said, victim mentality. I hope her parents are okay with what she wrote because i honestly feel bad for them since she kept repeating that she understood their struggle and she loved them, but she also couldn't stop mentioning that she practically raised her brother. Whole thing didn't seem genuine like a lot of real feelings were held back.

Dolores: My Journey Home by Catherine Paiz
Goodreads review - 4.49/5 ⭐️
My personal rating - 4.25/5 ⭐️
This book is an amazing memoir. @catherinepaiz was a part of the YouTube channel the ace family. This is her behind the scenes journey of the differences between what you seen on camera vs what was really going on behind the lens. It is a powerful story of survival, family, fame and heartbreak. Think you know Catherine Paiz think again !
Would I recommend this book - absolutely yes.
As a a fan of the ace family for nearly 10 years I thought I knew Catherine but gosh was I wrong. This book made me love her even more. This book has introduced me to the real Catherine and I’m so glad. She’s a mother, a sister and a spiritual human being who is putting her truth and her spiritual awakening out there for herself and her fans. She’s letting go all the negative energy that’s come with the last 5 years of her life and putting it on paper for the world to finally know the truth. Her truth.
Even if you don’t know who the ace family are, read this book. It’s about so much more.
Would I read from this author again - absolutely
Part 2 of this book I believe will be released later this year and I will definitely be picking it up. Catherine is an open book and really inviting us in 100% with no editing and no filter.
I’m so happy for Catherine that she has finally found her peace and purpose on this earth. Im excited to continue to watch her journey through this thing called life.
