Wheelchair users will also find them invaluable when visiting friends or family who may not have accessible entrances. Light and compact, these portable ramps are easy to travel with or store in the trunk of a car. Each ramp weighs only 6 pounds, making them easy to lift and position. They extend from 3 to 5 feet, for use on different step sizes and heights Each ramp can support 300 pounds (600 pounds total between them). How to Use Two ramps are included. To extend the ramps, pull sections one and two until the locking buttons are fully extended into the holes and snap into place. After use, simply retract them and put them away in their convenient nylon carrying bag. How to Measure for Wheelchair Ramps To calculate the length of the ramp you will need to measure the rise. The rise is the measurement between the ground and where the top of the ramp will be placed. The American with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires that public areas have wheelchair ramps with an incline of 4.8 degrees or less (a ratio of 1:12). This equals one foot of ramp for every inch of rise. For residential areas such as homes, ADA recommends a 2:12 slope. This equals one foot of ramp for every two inches of rise. To calculate the ramp length you will divide the rise by two. For home use, these ramps would work for rises up to 10 inches. Next, you need to measure the width of the wheels. These ramps have an inner track area of 4.5 inches. Be certain each wheel is no wider than 4 inches.

    Just received this AM .... put the ramps on the garage floor to make sure the wheelchair tires would fit & they did with lots of room to spare.
    My husband has a new power wheelchair for travel that weighs just 55 lbs. It is very unique with 2 lithium batteries. Actually on measuring the track for the wheels it measures at 4 5/8 inches. Will be using them this weekend to load the wheelchair in the van & removing it for the shuttle to the airport, Very versatile with extension from 3 to 5 ft. as well as having a travel / storage bag & the fact they only weigh 6 lbs. each is a real bonus.

    Not super sturdy and a lot more difficult to use then I thought. Unfortunately I would not recommend spending $250 on these. The idea is great but the engineering of the ramps themselves is not quite up to par.

    Unfortunately we are not able to use the ramps at all. In places that we though they might work it didn't. The snow will make it even more difficult to use at all.

    I have not been able to use the ramps to date. They are for a very slight incline at best. Also tried to return the product but was unable to do so.

    Frustrating.

    Firstly, number "one" in description is confusing -- product is a "pair of ramps" - not one.
    Also, width in specs is 7". Measured underside of ramp is 6.75". Useful width for wheels is only 4" because of curb on each side.
    Wheel alignment of wheelchair (front and large wheels on some chairs are not in straight path) so navigating ramp is tricky.
    Requires an adjustable arm top & bottom of ramps to keep width of both ramps secure and constant.
    However, product is sturdy, well-made, very portable, neat and useful carry bag to attach to wheelchair - a great idea but in my case not practical, thus the need to return it. Prompt delivery and efficient transaction in both directions.

    These twin ramps are easy to expand to their full length. It takes just a push of the buttons on the side and they slide to full length. When finished using them to get into or out of our house, they slide back just as easily. We haven't needed the portability aspect of the ramps, yet, but will be taking the ramps with us for trips anywhere other than to her orthopedic surgeon's office where we know they are wheelchair accessible. If we are going anywhere else, the zip pouch is easy to use and the handles of the zip pouch fit perfectly over the handles of the wheelchair and do not slip off.

    We were out of state when my wife fell and broke her ankle, so I ordered this from 鶹 and it was waiting when we got back home. Without it, I don't know how we would have gotten her into the house. With these ramps, it was easy. The ramps are light weight, but they are plenty strong. They easily support the weight of a manual wheelchair and the person using it.

    The only issue of concern is that the front and rear wheels must be in line. Some manual chairs and many powered chairs have front wheels set narrower apart than the rear wheels. That will not work with this type of ramp.
