5.0 out of 5 stars Everything you need to Know for a Great Trip to Japan.
Verified PurchaseMy wife and I travel a lot each year to different places. We also send our adult sons somewhere new each year as a gift. The one constant in our travels is the DK travel books - they are perfect. The best feature about these travel books is that they do NOT waste pages and pages listing hotels to stay at. Think about it, once you make a hotel reservation, all those pages are worthless and you still carry them around. The same is true for restaurants. Especially in JAPAN. TOKYO is a city of over 850 square miles with probably 10,000 restaurants. The probability of staying near one of the restaurants listed in the normal travel book approaches zero. This DK book is full of facts that you need to know about what to spend your time seeing and the history of almost every site you could possibly be interested in. It's 350 pages of useful information and helpful suggestions and the most useful guidebook available. Forget the rest and just buy the DK book, and you will be totally equipped for the trip.
