I hate wimpy fridge magnets and bought some larger rare earth magnets. They were great, but maybe TOO strong. These are a good middle ground, not so strong that I have trouble removing them from the fridge but strong enough they will hold up anything reasonable. The little loops give you some needed leverage when trying to pull them off your fridge. :)
I have also used these for stud finding in my walls. Hang them 6-8 inches from a string and move them along your wall as close as you can, and they will stick to/move towards nails in your studs. I found this technique worked much better than any stud finder I tried to use.
