    DeWalt is my first choice for power tools. I have been using DeWalt for 20 years. Unfortunately their battery housing is not very strong for mechanical work. They chip and break easily. But the battery itself has a very good lifespan. I still use my 18 year old batteries and hold them together with electrical tape. However, these two batteries drain very quickly.

    If you can avoid it, then don't buy these batteries, without doubt the worst batteries I've ever bought. I'm a professional contractor and almost all my stuff is dewalt and I was so disappointed when I used these, they don't last long but biggest problem is if you leave this battery sitting for a short time and it dies then it will not recharge. I've had just about every battery dewalt make but these consistently do the same thing. I've binned about 8 of these and I wouldn't take one if it was free!!! Absolute garbage.
