Product description

This 20V MAX* 1/2 in. Cordless Impact Wrench with Hog Ring Anvil was built for quick loosening and tightening of bolts, lug nuts, and other fasteners. The Impact Wrench delivers 250 ft-lbs of fastening torque and 400 ft-lbs of breakaway torque in a lightweight body suited for a range of applications in confined, difficult-to-access workspaces.     This tool is my second DeWalt tool, and it really suprised me. 400 foot-pounds is a lot more than I imagined. I have a 110cc pit bike, and the rear axel nut was seized. that came right off. Cluch nut, also siezed, suffered the same fate. Alot more things that either had bent threads or were just seized were no match for this thing. I really like this thing for mid-duty work around the farm, but if you are changing tires all the time, or own a company, get somthing more powerful, but still, this really suprised me.

    Everything about the gun is great except for the break away force which is advertised at 400 lbs.
    This is not correct at least for my gun as it has trouble loosening lug nuts on my car(100lbs torque) and my truck (125lbs torque).
    On my truck I had to use my old master craft corded impact gun which had no problem breaking the nuts free.
    If the impact truly had 400 lbs breaking torque there would be no issues.
    So as a tool for assembly this is a great little tool but for disassembly not so much.

    This small dewalt impact works nicely for those times where I cant reach with my high torque model that’s much bigger.

    Takes wheel lug nuts off easily as long as they’re not over-torqued. Took off seized sway bar link nuts, after some struggle.
    Just go slow with rusted nuts since this thing only spins at one speed and you can’t adjust it. Just so you don’t round them off such as in exhaust bolt/nut removal applications.

    It’s a great impact, fits in tight spaces, and doesn’t break the bank. I highly recommend this for someone who is into DIY car repairs and doesn’t have the room or money to invest in high quality pneumatic tools.
