I did some research before choosing this oatmeal because it's important to me that I don't feed my child pesticides and because so many oat and grain products are chalk full of them. (Many producers of grain products even spray this toxic pesticide on the grains after harvesting, in order to dry out the grains for faster processing) Eew! This particular company works with specific farms and researches what goes into the process, and even does residual testing to ensure their product is glyphosate free, which in return makes me feel more confident purchasing their products.

Extremely bad batch- Stale taste with strong odour

We purchased this twice (5-6 bags) in last couple of months and each time the quality has been very bad, the smell from the moment you open these bags is very stale with a very strong pungent taste as if the product is really old and moldy. All the bags are sitting as this is a 'non-returnable item'. Very unhappy...

There was a recall of this item at COSTCO recently and I worry if the batches we ordered were also a part of that Health and Safety Recall. Quality of this product has definitely taken a nosedive.

Tips:
-Look for a larger bag at big name store if regular use. Similiar in texture and taste to Bob's but cookes 20% faster. Adjust your recipe times.
-Makes great 'oat flour' , grind to use vs bread crumbs for gluten free 'patties, GF waffles, breads etc.
-FYI: In sprouting= Carbohydrates are converted into simple sugars, proteins are broken down into amino acids, and fats are broken into the component fatty acids. These conversions make the food easier for plant and humans to digest. Soaking & sprouting reduces the cooking time, removes phytic acid and lectins ( causing gout, kidney issues, or sugars).
-My kitchen is sprouting with oaty baked goods, Sprout up your oats too 🤸
