This is the second RC Boat set we've tried, and hands down the best.
These boats are larger than the others available, and have the light up feature - which is awesome.
These boats also run a larger battery, and - in my opinion - have a superior controller.
I really like that they disable the props when the boat isn't in the water, and that the controller has trim functions to match the motors so it tracks in a straight line. You can switch the lights on and off remotely - which enables some fun games at night (like hide and seek!).
The range is impressive - we took these to our local pond, which is about 150' across and we could navigate the entire space without issue.
Battery life is impressive - I'd say we got a solid 35min before we swapped batteries.
Amazing value for the money - my son looks forward to using these anytime we can.
Absolutely zero issues with water getting inside, they're super tough. Just plug in the battery and throw them in the water, they'll self correct to be upright and you can crash them into each other without concern. So much fun!

This is a really good deal on some great RC boats. Deerc makes a lot of remote control products these days, and while I’ve tried a few that left a lot to be desired, they usually offer solid value. These boats definitely fall into that category. The quality and performance are quite good for the price.

My sons had a blast ripping around the river with these little boats last weekend. They work well, are very easy to use, and are fairly fast (with a caveat I’ll get to in a moment). Each boat comes with two battery packs, which gives you plenty of drive time before needing to recharge.

One important thing to keep in mind is that these are swivel-steer boats—there are no rudders. Instead, steering is done by controlling the two motors independently. The props are trimmed at a fairly low angle to keep the nose down, but this does affect maneuverability. The boats are fast in a straight line, but as soon as you try to steer, they slow to a bit of a clumsy stumble. This is common with swivel-steer setups, as the steering geometry isn’t ideal and you lose half your thrust when one propeller slows or stops.

The build quality is great, though I did notice a bit of moisture getting into the main housing. I’m not sure how it got in, but it doesn’t seem like enough to cause any damage. I recommend leaving the battery compartment open when storing the boats to let any moisture vent out.

Overall, aside from the steering quirk, these are excellent boats for the price. I have two sons and they raced these things around for hours. Definitely recommended.

These little boats are so much fun!! I ordered them for my kids, but I think I ended up having just as much fun as they did driving them around the dock at the lake in our town. They get going pretty good for the tiny size of them as well. The best thing about this product is that you get two boats to play with. I imagine it would be pretty boring to drive one boat around while eveyone waits around for a turn to drive. It is kind of hard to have a race when you are in an open lake with no course set up, but if you have a pool and set up a course it would be awesome to race them. My daughter and I enjoyed playing tag with them—yes, they are tough enough to take a knock together at full speed.

I included a short video of one of the boats tearing around. There is only boat in the video because I was at the water with only my daughter that day and needed her to take the video while I drove the boat around. You will see the red boat at the very end of the video.

These boats are a ton of fun if you live near water in which you can play with them. Anyone wanting a really fun toy for your kids (or yourself—talking to you fellow dads out there), this is the ticket.

Highly recommended!

We couldn't believe how long the battery lasts! After 15minutes the batteries were still +3.9V and we never hit the low-battery warning. The kit included two of everything, so these would even be a good gift for two boys. Two chargers, two boat stands, four spare propellers, and four 14500-size 3.7V 500mAh Li batteries.

I found the boats were faster when they were facing into the waves, since it lifted the hull up out of the water. Some drops of water did get inside each boat equally (the battery compartment has a seal and was completely dry), but turning the boat upside down didn't reveal any free water inside. Turning slows the boat because it stops one propeller (or reverses it if I pull back on one of the throttle sticks) to make the turn. There is a good safety feature that prevents the motors from starting if the boat isn't in the water.
