I tried superglueing the suspension back together but that did not last more than another small jump from a curb. The suspension is incredibly weak and the wires connecting the light bar are super thin. As you can see from the attached photo, the RC car is still brand new. Returned for refund on the second day of ownership.

Something went wrong at the factory apparently. The car only went fast in reverse. In forward mode the drive train made a really ugly sound and only ran (slowly, very slowly) for a few seconds before shutting off. Really a shame as the car had a great solid and sturdy feel. Oh well.

I have been playing around with this truck for about the last two weeks and I have been having a blast with my kids. In my opinion on of the things that makes this great for kids and grownups is how easy it is to adjust speed, thanks to the adjustment knob on the controller. At it's fastest setting this thing could easily do damage to someone if it hit them, there's no way I would let my kids drive it at that speed but totally appropriate for an adult. Cranked down and it's a great trainer for younger people, with adult supervision, to get used to the trigger and steering. Right out of the box if you are in the highest speed setting it likes to pop wheelies, which makes it hard to accelerate. It also likes to tumble if you take a turn too quick. I found that if you take the extra tire off of the body you lower the center of gravity enough that you solve both of those problems which makes it way more fun. You will need to spend some time driving it to also break in the shocks. Taking it off jumps or driving it over rougher terrain will help speed up this process. Depending on how you adjust the speed the battery life will vary quite a bit. I like to drive it fast and I will get about 15-20min off a single battery. If there are some quick wins for improving this truck I would say it's range and radius. The range is ok if you are driving it in your yard but beyond 75ish feet and it's not the best. I would like to go to some more open areas but for now I'm staying home. The other thing that could be better is turning radius. If you take of the body entirely the center of gravity is extremely low and you can take turns very quick. However, it can still be a radius of 20ft or more depending on your speed. As is though, this is still a lot of fun and is a great toy for adults and kids.

My only small gripe is the button-style trim controls on the remote—I prefer physical dials—but that’s not a dealbreaker. This truck looks awesome, drives even better, and feels like something I’ll be using for a long time. Whether you’re just getting into the hobby or, like me, just want to feel like a kid with a really fast toy, this is a blast.
