Product Description
Use the wood screw
The chuck set comes with a 3/8" and a 1/2" screw chuck.the screw chuck is helpful when turning larger workpieces.
1.Turn OFF and unplug your lathe.
2.Mount the screw chuck in the chuck with an internal grip. The bottom lip of the screw chuck should be under the jaws to help hold it in place.
3.The base of the workpiece should be flat and square to its sides. Using an 8.3mm (21/64") drill bit or a 11.5mm (29/64") drill bit, drill a pilot hole straight down into the center of the workpiece,approximately 31mm (1-7/32") deep.
4.Screw the workpiece onto the screw chuck. The base of the workpiece should be flush against the top of the jaws.
Round jaws
A versatile round jaw complete with Woodworm Screw. Woodworm screw comes standard for fast mounting of rough timbers. It is able to handle both bowl and spigot projects.
Big round jaws
It is designed for expansion dovetail, reverse dovetail and grab foot bowl, with large clamping size.
Step jaws
These are powerful step jaws for smaller delicate work. The longer jaws allow for strong spigot and precise grip needed for unsupported small, longer work, as well as smaller spigots incontraction, such a pen blanks.
Pin jaws
The pin jaws allow for a very powerful spigot grip for smaller work. Also features a small dovetailwhich grips work away from chuck face, allowing access to some outside bowl turning.
Flat jaw
These versatile flat jaws are designed for remounting bowls to remove chuck marks, add decoration or to reshape the bottoms of bowls that have already been turned.
