    10/10 would only recommend these to people I despise! Roughly 30% of them will not countersink properly! Best part is, once you screw them in they are extremely difficult to remove! I have tried everything! Pre-drilling, low speed, high speed, positive re-enforcement, negative re-enforcement, mechanical agitation, impact driver(which you’re not supposed to use, but I figured hey if the directions don’t work, try going against them) and even just hammering them in the rest of the way! For the record, when they do work and you use the color specific plugs, it looks great! But unless you are into torturing yourself, use something else, anything else!

    These are a great product for installation of composite deck boards, like TimberTech square-shouldered material. They drive in well and anchor completely, providing an alternative to other concealed fastening systems.
    The only issue I have had is inconsistent quality control, as I've rejected about 3% of the screws so far due to the heads being oversize and will not slide through the collet in the deck jig. Will address with Kreg customer service.
