These were WAY easier to replace than I had thought! And way cheaper to do it yourself!! Note to any other doityourselfer; go to YouTube and watch several videos on replacing these for your machine.. Get yourself as much room to work as you can (we didn't and still got it done with 2 of us but it was somewhat of a hassle). Take note (or pictures!) of the screws you remove to loosen the lid. Take the back plate off so you can separate the wires in the back because, if you don't remove the lid totally, you'll need to be able to cock it in different directions in order to access each rod. Buy white lithium grease & apply to both plastic bushings. Remove and replace one rod at a time!! By the time you get to the 4th one, the drum will lift up way easier than the 1st one! Make sure to unclip the hose on the back right, untwist the rod from it; wind the little hose around the rod BEFORE installing (it's just easier) and replace the clip onto the new rod AFTER installing. P.S. you may want rubber gloves for removal of the old rods because the grease they use at the factory is nasty sticky. If WE can do this, YOU can do this!
