For some reason I can no longer find a weather website that indicates the historical rainfall (24h/7d) for my location. We have had limited rain in the last month and I am finding it more important to keep track of rainfall amounts so that I can ensure my lawn, flowers and vegetable gardens are getting enough water.
The D-buy rain gauges have a simple clear plastic construction with a stake at the bottom for ground mounting. It also has 2 mounting holes if you wanted to attach it to a fence or shed wall with a couple of screws (not included). The measurements are in millimeters and inches. They are fairly easy to read within a few feet distance but it would be nice if the measurements/numbers were in black to make them stand out a bit more on the clear plastic.
Overall, I consider it a pretty good value for a package of 2 and I have put one in the flower beds at the front of the house and the other in the vegetable beds at the back of the house so I can easily monitor them.

I've got a fairly large vegetable garden that I really enjoy, and as the seasons progress I'm getting more into the finer details of the hobby. Things like testing the soil for Ph and nutrients and paying more attention to how much water different parts of my garden are actually receiving. Having these in a 2-pack was great for me as I can put one on each end of the garden. Install was simple as the ground spike is built into the gauge. It also has a keyhole on the back if you want to mount it to a post or wall, on a screw or nail. I've been monitoring the levels compared to another gauge that I bought from Peavey Mart and they all consistently indicate the same quantities, within a millimeter or so, which is an acceptable margin of error for my purposes. Time will tell how they weather, especially as UV in my area tends to be hard on some plastics and fabrics. I'll update my review as the season progresses, should I encounter anything that warrants it.
