- Reviewed in Canada on July 5, 2025This 1 1/4 inch curling iron is designed for creating curls and waves on medium to long hair. The tourmaline ceramic barrel ensures smooth gliding. There's adjustable temperature settings for various hair types. There're safety features like auto shut-off, insulated tip, and included heat-resistant glove. The dual voltage and lightweight design make it an great travel companion. Good price as well.
- Reviewed in Canada on July 14, 2025I ordered the 1" barrel curling iron at the same that I ordered this 1.5" barrel curling iron since they would each create a different look, and I have not been disappointed!
These curling irons are absolutely gorgeous! The rose-gold coloured barrels, buttons, and other accents give an added flair, while the solidly constructed handle and the longer-than-a-drugstore-curling-iron 360-degree swivel cord make these irons a pleasure to use.
The blue LED temperature display shows the word "OFF" when it's plugged in but not heating, as well as its current temperature when it is on...the changing temperature even shows during the heating phase. And heating happens quite quickly; so I didn't have to wait long when I was running late for work and forgot to turn it on in the first place.
The only reason I am giving 4-stars is, and maybe this is just a personal preference, because my fine hair slips through the barrel a little too easily, even when I don't want it to, when it is supposed to be clamped firmly in place. Plus my fine hair needs a smaller barrel to make tighter curls which then relax into beachy waves. I learned that a larger barrel doesn't make much difference to my hair over all, but that's just me.
Of course, the longer than normal barrel allows for a better long-hair curling experience.
I do highly recommend!!

- Reviewed in Canada on July 17, 2025The glove is super handy, on my old curling iron I was constantly burning the tips of my fingers, so I love having that extra bit of protection. The curling iron itself works perfectly. Curls my hair quickly and easily, and the iron glides off my hair. The curls hold pretty much all day too and I don't use hairspray or anything. The swivel feature makes curling my hair super easy to do and I love the peace of mind that auto shut off give me.
- Reviewed in Canada on July 8, 2025This is a wonderful hair styling tool and curls very well. The barrel is rather large, so it will create larger curls than a smaller one. The colour is beautiful, a rose gold and it heats up very quickly!
PROS:
- Fast heat up
- Nice LED screen to show you temperature
- Beautiful colour
- Curls your hair very nicely - The curls stayed and were very uniform
- Large barrel for large curls
- even heating
- Hinge is very smooth
- Comes with a glove to protect hands
CONS:
- You have to press and hold the power button to turn it on and it takes a bit too long.
- caused my hair to steam
- Large barrel doesn't work on all hair types.
- Reviewed in Canada on July 6, 2025This curling iron comes at a great price with some excellent features. It's digital, which is an upgrade from my old iron, and it can be switched from degrees C to F. You can watch it heat up to reach the desired temperature and set it at various intervals. It automatically shuts off. It is also dual voltage (as far as I could find, it automatically switches without a button or dial), so it is great for travel. If you are an avid curling iron user who has preferred (and more expensive) tools, this would be a nice one to get for travel if worried about loss/theft/issues with voltage. I will use this iron for curling, and my tools are all name-brand ones. It did a good job when I tried it out. The glove is an added bonus.
- Reviewed in Canada on July 10, 2025It is a slightly larger barrel than I am accustomed to, but it does work on my mid-length hair (sits about 3 inches below my shoulder). It heats pretty quickly and the heat distribution seems even. The clamp for the barrel seems a little stiff, but it is secure.
The plug is a North American standard plug, and it worked with no problem. I was planning on bringing this to Europe with me as it is dual voltage, but I ended up not packing it as I didn't realistically see myself using it while traveling as I am still getting comfortable with the barrel size. As such, I am unable to confirm whether or not it will work in the EU.
- Reviewed in Canada on July 4, 2025Product arrived as shown in the advertisement and in protective packaging. Very stunning curling iron, I love the rose gold colours and the size is perfect for the curls I want to achieve. The iron is very light weight to hold and has a swivel cord to prevent tangling. The temperature can be set at increments of 10 starting at 130 to maximum 230 Celsius. The lcd screen shows the temperature heat in real time. It heats up fairly quickly, about a minute and a half from turning on to maximum heat. The curling iron did a great job styling my hair and doesn't take long to form a curl. I think the handle is a bit too long personally and it did feel a bit uncomfortable to use. If I were to rest my hand on the indentation for grip, my thumb cannot reach the clamp lever. Also the buttons could be made with better quality, when you push one button down the panel and other buttons shift somewhat. Overall does a good job curling but could use some improvements.

- Reviewed in Canada on July 16, 2025This curling iron feels well-made and performs great! I love that the temperature is adjustable, which makes it suitable for different hair types. The longer handle and barrel make it easier to use, especially for longer hair, and help reduce the chance of accidentally burning yourself. The clamp glides smoothly and holds hair in place without tugging. A solid styling tool that offers both control and comfort.

5.0 out of 5 stars A nice working dual voltage curling iron at a great price
This is a pretty nice dual voltage ceramic coated curling iron for the price. (Currently $19.19 after 20% coupon being offered.) You will need your own 240v European plug adapter of course.
Due to it being dual voltage, it reads the heating temp in Celsius by default however, switching to Fahrenheit is quick and easy to do by holding down the power button for a couple seconds to power it on, then hold the - and + down at the same time for a second. Not a huge deal truly.
Once powered on this will heat up to 270° by default. You can immediately go up or down in temperature using the +/- buttons. This has a fairly bright blue led interface that displays clear to read temperature numbers for how it’s progressing. Once it reaches your set temp it will hold and illuminate that temp. I did notice that as I pushed the + and - that it progresses (when set to Fahrenheit) at these temps from low to high: 270/280/300/320/340/360/370/390/410/430/450
so it skips around in 10 degree intervals, then 20 degrees, then back to 10 degrees (from 360-370) then back to 20 degree intervals which is a bit odd but eh…. not a big deal really imo. Just noticed that and pondered a minute why that might be.
This heats up FAST. It got to 270° F in 30 seconds and reached 450° F in 1 minute and 20 seconds. Pretty great.
The handle is comfortable, the cord is nice and a thick robust round cordage that states to be 6 foot long but my cord measured at 6 1/2 feet long. It has a safety tip and the clamp holds my hair firmly. The resting clamp is a swivel down style and it folds nicely back when you’re using the iron and it stays put until I manually fold it down. There is a single knit glove included but I don’t consider it to be a great glove to trust for heat protection. It seems to be just an ordinary knit glove with no coating for any more protection than just a quick touch. Heat transfers through it quickly so be aware of that. It’s better than nothing but again, there isn’t any heat protective coating on it at all.
OK now for how this works for me personally. I have thick wavy hair that goes down to the middle of my back with some long layers throughout and some longer face framing pieces. It can get frizzy if I just wash and air dry so if I want curls I have to either sleep with it in foam rods or use a curling iron. This size barrel is perfect for me. It gives me ringlets when I curl in sections that I can quick scrunch to get big bouncy fluffy curls or I can finger comb them out a bit to get bouncy beach waves. My hair looks smooth afterwards with no more frizz and my style lasts for hours and hours. I’m honestly very happy with this. I have a WAY higher priced appliance that this one equals in end results easily and for the price even without a coupon, ($24.99) this is a terrific deal. It is even the one I would take when traveling being its dual voltage capable.
It comes in a pretty plain looking box- nothing fancy at all but, it performs nicely, heats up fast and has auto shut off after 60 minutes (which I did test once and that did work.) I would never intentionally leave this on however but, it’s a safety feature that is there but with anything electrical, especially one that heats up, I still don’t take my chances.
I have zero regrets getting this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fast Heating, Easy to Use Clamp, Always Starts in Centigrade, Good Cord Management
My wife got this to replace an aging curling iron, and was interested in that this one specified it could handle longer hair. The iron heated up quite quickly, reaching the maximum 450° very fast. It’s important to point out that the curling iron is set to default to Centigrade instead of Fahrenheit - surprising if you’re marketing this to US customers. To change to Fahrenheit, hold the + and - keys together for a couple of seconds (referenced on the product page, but there is no manual or guide included with the curling iron). Unfortunately, you need to do this every time as the default is a hard default and will re-start as showing Centigrade each time you use the iron; again, weird given that this is being sold in the US. The clamp was easy for her to use, didn’t cause any issues, and with the fast heating, it didn’t take her that long to get the end curls she wanted. She did appreciate that the heat-proof glove was included, as it this thing does get very hot, so caution is required in using this iron. Cord length was very good (6 foot cord) and the swivel on the end worked quite well, so no cord tangles or problems there. The little kickstand did seem to always slide off a little from the full upright position, it never let the iron touch the counter surface, but seems like that is a bit of a weak point. Overall, a good curling iron, price is reasonable (just under $25 at time of review), heats fast, clamp has smooth action, heat resistant glove included, good cord management, but a wonky (and aggravating) temperature setting process.

5.0 out of 5 stars 7 stars
I am thrilled with this tourmaline ceramic curling iron. Beauty has never been the thing I read about most, so I'm just now experimenting (in my mid-50s) with different types of skincare and haircare as age has caught up with me regarding the natural look (so much easier to achieve in your 20s!).
There is so much hype about everything these days, that it really does come down to just try it and see what you think. Well the hype for tourmaline ceramic is on point. I don't know what kind of magic is happening, but this takes my thinning, dry, scraggly hair and transforms it into soft curls in literally 5 minutes.
I used to have 75% more hair (volume) and it was naturally curly. I didn't have to do anything besides wash/condition it & put in some curling lotion to comb through. Then just let it dry on it's own and use my fingers to shake it out. Not so after menopause. I've lost a ton of hair. It's no longer curly ... just a combination of frizzy straight-ish and wavy. It looks professional zero days, so something must be done to be on video work calls.
I had been blow drying it straight because that was the only way I could look halfway presentable for work. With this curling iron, I'm able to wash/condition, air dry for an hour, then use 5 minutes with this thing and boom! I actually look camera-ready.
The size is perfect for my mid-back length hair. It heats up in just a few minutes. It has the temperature represented in digital numbers, so if you find the temp that works for you, you can easily use that temp again (versus a curling iron that just has a dial for the heat setting). It is in Celsius, so it goes up to 230 degrees (but the product photos show Farenheit to 450 degrees). Probably a way to change that, but I haven't tried because I just use 190 C and don't really need to worry about what that is in Farenheit.
I'd highly recommend this and think it's well worth the current price of $23.99. I'd pay even more for the value it is for me. I have no idea how that price compares to others. This is one of the best reviews I've written all year because it's been such a great benefit to me.

5.0 out of 5 stars 1 1/4-Inch Curling Iron
I have been wanting to get a new curling iron and found this one so I thought I would try it. It's exactly what I was looking for. I have straight/frizzy hair that sits below my shoulders. I have been using a heating brush, but I feel like it's causing more damage to the ends of my hair. This curling iron has a 1 1/4-inch barrel that works well with medium and long hair. It has a ceramic barrel with clamp dual voltage with adjustable temperatures. The curling iron with clamp applies even heat for long-lasting styles with less frizz, which is what I was looking for. The curling iron uses a tourmaline ceramic coating, which allows your hair to glide smoothly, reduces frizz, and boosts shine. The even and stable heat distribution protects your hair from damage. This was really good information - The ceramic curling iron features adjustable temperature settings from 260°F to 450°F to suit different hair types. 260°F–310°F is ideal for fine or thin hair, 320°F–390°F for normal or natural hair, and 400°F–450°F for thick or coarse hair. I really like that it added this information - it's very helpful. It heats up in 60 seconds. It has a 360-swivel cord and it's 6 feet long. A heat-resistant glove is included. I'm due to get a haircut in a few days to get rid of the bad ends so hopefully using this instead of the heated brush will make a difference.

-I think the price is reasonable for what you receive.
-It warms up really quickly and stays hot!!
-It has a digital display window to show you temp as it’s warming up.
-It curls quickly and the curls hold.
-It cleans off easily.
What I Think You Should Know Before Buying:
-The hinge to open it is a bit tight but I think it will loosen up over time.
-It stays warm for quite a bit after you turn it off and unplug it. You may need to leave it out for about half an hour before putting it away.
-Use a heat protectant because it will absolutely cause heat shock (for those with curly hair). Also, if you want your curls back, I’d also recommend using low heat.
Conclusion/Recommendation:
Great curling iron. Gets and stays hot (hotter than you expect so use caution). Works on super textured and curly hair. I recommend.
