Good coffee but the Maintenance!
The grinder and coffee filter are high maintenance. My old burr grinder on my previous machine, you could just add the beans, as needed. This one, you have to take out the unit and clean it after each use. The coffee filter is in a removeable compartment that has a lid through which the coffee grinds go through so you have yet another par to clean daily. The result is undeniably good coffee but I'm wondering of a hand grinder and just pouring the grinds in the filter wouldn't have been less maintenance and cheaper. Attached is a picture of all the parts needed to be cleaned each time you use it.

Never had a problem with a return when the need did arise & therefore why would we change for something different! It is loud ,no doubt about it, but we love this coffeemaker & not changing because it¡¯s a bit loud!!!

    A good cup of coffee from the currently available beans freshest beans during the 4-5 months the grinder worked.
    The first surprise was we did not expect how the humidity would mean a little extra work cleaning often. The taste was worth it non the less. Then one day the grinder just stopped working.
    The second surprise was there is no practical way to have the warranty dealt with. It starts with filling out a web for to even find a walk in service location (rather than seeing addresses and picking one), waiting for a response that leads to shipping it back to them. No we did not keep the box after 2 months as Â鶹Çø indicated Oct 19, 2024 (30 days) was the last date it could be returned by. Then the cost of shipping it in surfaced. The guarantee sounded nice till the time and dollars to process it became evident.
    Cheaper to spend another couple hundred dollars for a new one, were it not for the reality it only lasts 5 months. Disappointing, so guide yourself accordingly before buying this Cuisinart DGB-400 !

    I really like the machine but when I received it the carafe lid was defective. It wouldn¡¯t snap onto the carafe. I tried using it and accommodating for it but it was too difficult so I requested to return it. They said they would return it but I had to pay the shipping. $68 to ship an item that was damaged. Not good business. I feel they should pay the shipping on the return of defective products.

    I owned the older model of this coffee maker: DCC-1200P1 and had it for at least 15 years. It was awesome and was in love with it. I purchased this new model since it has a grinder in it and it's a great brand. I like it and it's very functional. Overall, I'm happy. 1. I wish the grinder allowed for different ground sizes. It's just one setting, one size but it's not a big deal as it makes great coffee. 2. I would move the 1-4 Cups button above the Program button. People use the 1-4 cups button more than the Program button so I wish it was on top so you would hit all 3 top buttons to get the coffee maker started. Right now, you have to hit 2 buttons on top and 1 down. Again, not a big deal but just a design improvement IMHO. Maybe I'm being OCDish. Lastly, once coffee is made, I noticed the coffee maker shuts off after 1 hour. I think the previous model used to remain on for 2/3 hours, if I recall correctly. Anyway, not a big deal at all on these. This is a very safe choice and a great coffee maker to go with across the board and I recommend it.

    Dentro del plano "negativo" es el dise?o, el espacio para colocar los granos hay que lavarse en cada uso y de preferencia reci¨¦n acaba de preparar el caf¨¦ ya que el caf¨¦ molido que no baja a la canastilla del filtro forma "plastas" con el vapor, adem¨¢s tienes que colocar ¨²nicamente la cantidad de caf¨¦ a preparar ya que el tiempo de molienda es siempre el mismo no importando que solo selecciones 1 a 4 tazas y es ruidoso, por lo que sirve como un "despertador" acuando la dejas programada si donde la tienes esta cerca del dormitorio.

    Si quieres una cafetera bonita, con molino de caf¨¦ y con funciones c¨®modas esta cumplir¨¢. Pero si tienes problemas con tener que lavarla despu¨¦s de cada uso o con el ruido del molino, deber¨¢s buscar otra opci¨®n
